To the night crew.
I miss the old night crew.

There were about 8-10 of us.
David is still here, ashes got married Luv is busy Devoted Follower has disappeared like Mike.
There were a couple more.

It is a nice time of night on LOP about now.
You can have a good chat, a few interesting "characters" come out of cover because their bosses are out of the office.

You probably get more truth out of friends and enemies about now.

The cover of the night.

I tip my hat to you all.

Late night groove music....

It is 11.20 pm just about bed time for me. It has gone a bit quiet.
I still have a hard day of slaving for the wife at home while she rides around on quad bikes.

You can tell how busy I am by how long I am on LOP during the day.
If it rains then I am on a bit, last week was bad. But if it is fine I have some work to do on the car some good walks and lawns to mow.

Got a bit of business correspondence maybe some welding in the garage.

I do she is quite a lady in all departments.
I have never been into the ornamental type girls, I have always liked the practical ones.
She is a better shot with a rifle than me as well, I don't mind, I am better at the stalk, I set up a good situation for her to take the shot.

A heart of gold is not to be treated lightly. Not everyone is as lucky as I.

Very I think.
She had to move to Australia to make it though. NZ only has 4.2 million people, most US cities are bigger than us.

The best NZ musicians at the height of their careers in NZ barely can pay for takeaways every night. You have to go to OZ and launch from there, 20 odd million in OZ so then you have to hit the US scene the UK scene is quite different.

If I mentioned Top NZ bands you probably would have never heard of them. My friend was in a band called the D4 and they used to open for metallica and foo fighters a few times, they were big in Japan.

We have a joke about it all "world famous in New Zealand"

I come from a town of 6000, everybody knows who I am there, we are all famous in Westport for something.

We like it when Kiwi's are successful overseas and we understand they have to leave to make money so we treat them right when they get back, but there is a rule.
You are not allowed to have you cake and eat it in NZ.
As soon as you claim to be better than any other NZers we get out the knives and cut them down.
If they act down to earth they are well respected.

Our greatest hero was Sir Edmund Hillary the first man to climb to the top of mount Everest and return alive.
He lived very humbly and is on our $100 note. A bee keeper by trade.
Ernest Rutherford was a NZer as well.
Our list is so small we have to remember them all you know [wink]
