Until the Trinity test explosions of atomic bombs, the Halifax Explosion was the largest man-made explosion in recorded history.

I guess for us southies it all kind of blends into one amorphous tree-infested creeping-with-moose and permanently covered with two feet of snow windy northland which they call Canada. chuckle

lol
i know it does for you guys..
but it isnt..
newfies are awesome ppl and they are a completely different breed of canadian lol
that is for sure..
i just loves them..
i went there with my bf in 2000.. i had never been.
they are great.. finest kind, as they say..

canada gets more uptight as ppl as you go across it from east to west lol
well, except i think in the prairies.. i dunno much about those ppl..
but when newfies come to ontario lol
they notice how different we are here.. way more uptight..
to us we arent.. but down there its so easy going and slow and small villages.. they are really family oriented and will take care of each other and all that.
really really hearty ppl too.. tough living down there.. weather wise and work wise..
i would go again in a heartbeat.. Jhikpghf

Just Plain Nuts.

RE: Trees Dieing in Halifax (Canada?)
My experiences of Canada (from when I was in the military)

St. John's Bay. Is that in New Foundland? It was a nice looking town, didn't realize it was one of the oldest cities in North America and also the Easternmost city as well. Very nice.

The other place was Gander. I think it was called gander. It was a frozen airfield and I think it was 20 or 30 below zero (fahrenheit). It was pretty cold. Luckily we were only there for a little bit to refuel. Cold.

RE: Trees Dieing in Halifax (Canada?)
Why is New Foundland pronounced "New Finland?"

Why not just spell it "New Finland?"
