Why doesn't someone recreate the event? Have an actual 747 fly into a skyscraper and see what happens?

A remote-controlled empty plane and an empty skyscraper scheduled for demolition, of course.

that would not "prove" anything other than you can fly a plane into a SS. The buildings in question were constructed under different (special) conditions than a normal SS.
When your ice cream cone melts at the top the base of the cone does not cave in and neither did the WTC buildings when the top was melting.

OP is right. Passenger aircraft are essentially hollow aluminum tubes. The WTC's steel columns were, by comparison, "rather sturdy". chuckle You could shoot a full can of Coke out of a goddam cannon at a scale model of the WTC, complete with scaled construction specs and techniques, and not knock it down into a pancake. The can would explode, the model would sustain cosmetic damage, and that would be it. It wouldn't leave a cartoon cutout of a coke can in the side.

Frank A. Demartini, on-site construction manager for the World Trade Center, spoke of the resilience of the towers in an interview recorded on January 25, 2001.

"The building was designed to have a fully loaded 707 crash into it. That was the largest plane at the time. I believe that the building probably could sustain multiple impacts of jetliners because this structure is like the mosquito netting on your screen door -- this intense grid -- and the jet plane is just a pencil puncturing that screen netting. It really does nothing to the screen netting. "

Aircraft are nothing more than lightweight, hollow tubes, kind of like an empty coke can. Try to throw an empty coke can through a steel reinforced brick wall and let me know how that works out for you.

Or a full coke can.

Or a hairspray can.

Or another brick.

Or a brick with a firecracker tied to it.

Or anything a fraction of the size of the building itself.

Let me know if your brick wall collapses into a perfectly tiny pile of smoldering rubble.

Max payload including people of a 747 is 735,000 pounds.

OP, no one on this board buys the official explanation. If you're trying to make a point, please feel free to do so.

RE: Try this 9/11 experiment.
HI Op. This is Philip D. Zelikow, Executive Director/Chair of the commission on 9/11. You have to realize that yes, indeed, the pop can would in fact bring down the brick wall if there was fluid inside. Remember that the can would be hitting the wall at an incredible speed, hence destabilizing support at the same time and adding a great deal of weight to the structure itself. This, combined with all the corroding acids of the soda pop creates a perfect environment for destabilization, thus a collapse....

Yours sincerely,

Philip D Zelikow

P.S. don't believe what you here about everyone on the board being Zionists, remember, Kissinger was booted off after some nosy people found out his family had business dealings with the Bin Laden's. Crazy world eh.....

facepalm
Chrissake. Ok, no one but Cooter Brown, maybe Joe Neubarth and the odd Guest or two.

So then, semantics aside, point. Do you have one?
