that would not "prove" anything other than you can fly a plane into a SS. The buildings in question were constructed under different (special) conditions than a normal SS.

OP is right. Passenger aircraft are essentially hollow aluminum tubes. The WTC's steel columns were, by comparison, "rather sturdy". chuckle

You could shoot a full can of Coke out of a goddam cannon at a scale model of the WTC, complete with scaled construction specs and techniques, and not knock it down into a pancake. The can would explode, the model would sustain cosmetic damage, and that would be it. It wouldn't leave a cartoon cutout of a coke can in the side.

"The building was designed to have a fully loaded 707 crash into it. That was the largest plane at the time. I believe that the building probably could sustain multiple impacts of jetliners because this structure is like the mosquito netting on your screen door -- this intense grid -- and the jet plane is just a pencil puncturing that screen netting. It really does nothing to the screen netting. "

HI Op. This is Philip D. Zelikow, Executive Director/Chair of the commission on 9/11.
