The National Guard does train for riot control and disaster relief. In the aftermath of an earthquake or similar tragedy it would not be unusual to see the Guard on the streets protecting property and offering aid. This was their mission long before they started being used to bolster the regular army. And usually they are all local and live not too far away.
I don't like seeing armed soldiers on the streets but I wouldn't make too much of this just yet. More info is needed.

You can't prep against tyranny. People thinking they're going to 'bug out' when the roadblocks are put out are going to be some of the first rounded up into the camps.

Its coming I just don't when. With the NDAA, and martial law executive order, everything is in place to lock you up with out a trial, take your guns, and all rights away. It doesn't matter how tough you are, they will win.

poor young soldiers have no idea what they are facing, imminently a future where they are trying to kill their brothers and sisters.do you know that calm right before chaos? right at that moment when you feel a certain energy building? it gets quiet, almost peaceful then a surge runs up your spine.
