While everyone is looking the other way - waiting in line for chicken and watching all the hoopla about the shooter in COL -
this is the chicken shit thing that is really going down behind our backs!

What does this mean for someone who is the parent of a child with a disability? It means that a Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities would have more control over the care and decisions for your child than you.

Under current law, "parents get to decide what they think is best for their child-including the right to walk away from government services and provide private or home education.

Under the UNCRPD, that right is supplanted. Government officials have the authority to substitute their views for the views of parents as well as the views of the child as to what is best." (Testimony of Michael J. Farris before Senate Foreign Relations Committee, July 12, 2012)

This committee, made up of strangers from foreign countries will have the legal authority to tell you, the parent, how to take care of your disabled child. This committee, governed by itself according to Article 34.10, made up of leaders from the China, India, or even Afghanistan could soon be telling you what is in the best interest of your child who has autism, or cerebral palsy, or spina bifida. So if you feel that a new drug or therapy would help your child, your choice could be overridden by the UNCRPD. Article 7 of the UNCRPD states that State Parties will have precedence over the rights of parents to make choices on the behalf of disabled children "in all actions concerning children with disabilities" for all "fundamental freedoms" of those disabled children.

In Japan you see very few disabled people because Doctors kill all the babies who have birth defects immediately after delivering them without any parental input.

The parents in most cases are simply told the baby was still born.

Im really scared- for all parents of spec needs kids- and for all parents period

this wont just be for spec needs parents - this will spill over
and soon all parents will have no rights

heres the deal

I called that # to the WHITE HOUSE for my senator in my area

they are out right now - butI left a mssg for someone to get back to me

i want to know WHERE they stand !

we do NOT want govt making decisions for our kids!
by any panel of anyone!
