Not the same, although this is often touted by people to make transferrence seem acceptable. They probably go 'oh it's similar to the old testament' but probably don't look beyond that. In the quran, it's noted Jesus escapes death by having some other poor guy have his (Jesus) likeness put upon him.

Most will say 'but he saved Jesus!' - but the act in itself is deceptive (a lie, which is not compatible with Truth), and condemned some random innocent man to die to 'explain away' the events. Then they tack on 'mohammed' and insist that he was the last prophet (which is why they all get enraged when people depict cartoons).

I don't consider someone who uses the deceptive appearance to save someone to be the same as God who allows one of His own to die for others.

One is a deceptive practice, the other is an act of Love.


I find that when I point this out, islamists will try to worm around the issue.
