A prostitution scandal involving the Secret Service has grown in scope, with the disclosure that U.S. agents and military personnel had been with at least 20 women in hotel rooms before President Barack Obama arrived in Colombia for a summit with Latin American leaders.

Sullivan said the 11 Secret Service agents and 10 military personnel under investigation were telling different stories about who the women were.

“Some are admitting (the women) were prostitutes, others are saying they’re not, they’re just women they met at the hotel bar,” King said in a telephone interview. Sullivan said none of the women, who had to surrender their IDs at the hotel, were minors. “But prostitutes or not, to be bringing a foreign national back into a secure zone is a problem.”

“20 or 21 women foreign nationals” were brought to the hotel. Eleven of the Americans involved were Secret Service, she said, and “allegedly Marines were involved with the rest.”

King said it appeared the agency actually had “really lucked out.” If the women were working for a terrorist organization or some other anti-American group, King said, they could have had access to information about the president’s whereabouts or security protocols while in the agents’ rooms.

“This could have been disastrous,” King said.

This could be just a portion of a coup attempt or espionage.

It certainly compromised the integrity of the service detail of POTUS. Very disturbing.
ETA: how do they know that these women - these foreign nationals were NOT part of a terrorist organization?

Sure they say they are doing an investigation, but how are they going to change it so this type of activity doesn't happen again?

I cannot believe this was an isolated case. I bet this happens every time they go out of the country.

If the morals of the SS and marines are that low what is stopping them from aiding a terrorist organization for money?

And I'm also positive all this is being paid for by the taxpayers.

I promise that is exactly what went down.

That sounds VERY plausible.

But, the Secret service isn't supposed to be carousing in bars PERIOD. That's what JFK's SS did.

On my news this morning I heard that there was a lot of partying noise going on in the hotel room and complaints were called in, when the manager showed up at the room was when one of them demanded payment before she left.

Simply shouldn't ever happen.

That's dangerous. Secret Service should live like monks are supposed to when on duty.

And Advance team is on duty until relieved, then they should either join the presidential protection team or go home.

This sounds like mom's trips to Mexico and the rental cars.
