What is the average hourly rate in the US?

Varies by location, occupation, etc.

Here's SOME data:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_i...ted_States

Bureau of Labor Statistics has detailed info based on occupation and location.

http://www.bls.gov/bls/blswage.htm/

After looking those up I decided not to be an auto mechanic anymore(after 20 years). Not that I didn't already know.

chuckle

I'd rather earn less doing something easier than kill myself for chump change.

RE: US projects $1.21 trillion budget deficit
Not to be pedantic, but a budget must exist in order to have a budget deficit. And the U.S. has not been operating under a budget in over 3 years--- the last budget passed by the Senate was on April 29, 2009.

As Luv pointed out, teh Fed will create 1.2T virtual credits denominated in Dollars to "plug the budget deficit". Hey, the supply is infinite, so what the hell, right?

In the meantime, Dems will kvetch about the "Rich" paying "their fair share" and Reps will kvetch about "Job-creators" and the circular firing squad can continue unabated.

But if we were smart, we would start forwarding the notion that no one need to pay anything in federal taxes, since teh Fed can create 4T virtual credits denominated in Dollars, just as easily as it can conjure into existence (by skillful keyboarding) 1.2T virtual credits.

But in most service sectors what would a person earn per hour?

Rough estimate.
