Have any of you ever driven through the Navajo reservation in the 4 corners region? Litter everywhere. Refrigerators and couches just randomly dumped at the side of the road, plastic bags in all the brush etc. These modern indians are not very good stewards of their land as it is. I don't think they need anymore, and really, it's about time they integrated themselves into society.

No but I have seen the piles of dead salmon they caught in their nets and left to rot. Or the piles of shrimp they let spoil and dumped. As well as literally killing every deer within miles of the rez. Stewards of the land they are not.

Gee, do ya think there's a correlation between the amount of government assistance one receives and shitty looking yards.

It's a mixed bag here in Australia. Some aborigines live a fairly traditional life and are very beautiful people. I love this land but I can't compete with them on a spiritual level with their connection to it.

The biggest problem is booze. It decimates entire towns and breaks down all the social bonds within an aboriginal family. They are caught between the white man's world and a traditional one and this period of their history will and is not pleasant. They are caught between the white devil and the big red land.

Most of the city aboriginals are feral and cling on to the vestiges of their traditional beliefs and basically have warped it for their own monterary gain from the goverment and justification for all the percieved and in many cases real ills because "I'm a black fella".

They use this as justification to commit whatever crime they like and blame the white man for it.
We did many wrongs, but hey you don't see me harping on about the english removing my anscestors from my traditional celtic lands?

Assimilate with the dominate culture or perish. That is histories lesson.

Sorry but when you fight a war over land and you win it fair and square, there is no giving it back.

You're a fucktard. Last time I checked biological warfare isn't "fair and square". Go eat your government cheese and stfu.

Oh this shit is rich. Who's next? Do we give Scotland back to the Picts? Do we give Spain to the Solutreans who lived there during the last glacial maximum? Or maybe we kick everyone but the Pygmies out of DR Congo since it was originally theirs 40,000 years ago?

If they returned any lands to the Indians and remove people off of those lands....the same govt would take the same lands from the Indians and toss them off. No people should not forget about Agenda 21.

(heard it in reverse speech and I believe it was Obama? that someone found it on, speech from 2008 I think)

After this, it won't be long before they declare war on the UN and take their land too.

Here is a real history lesson. Hebrews have never "assimilated" into the dominant culture and they have not only not perished, but thrived.

Assimilation is over-rated.

And WTF is the "dominant culture?"

I hereby decree that all UN property be turned over to the Hopi Indians. There that should fix the problem.

After that the UN can kiss my arsch.

and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

Superior fire power used during sneak attacks, germ warfare, genocidal attacks wiping whole tribes and nations out and etc.

All y'all won even if it wasn't a real fight.

How about just one treaty?

Just one treaty honored?

Is that too much to ask?

Apparently.

We don't need it all back, not enough of a population left to keep things safe and restore the environment, but how about you leave what was ceded to us alone for a change? No more BIA selling mineral rights for pennies on the dollars. No more drugs being sold by the CIA to our young. No more policies that restrict anything resembling financial growth or health for the Reservations. No more imposing your arbitrary rules that change with the wind.

Just one treaty honored.
