Unemployment Rate Dropped In Every State That Elected A Republican Gov. In 2010

In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate.

Since January of 2011, here is how much the unemployment rate declined in each of the 17 states that elected Republican governors in 2010, according to the Examiner:

Kansas - 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%

Maine - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%

Michigan - 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%

New Mexico - 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%

Oklahoma - 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%

Pennsylvania - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%

Tennessee - 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%

Wisconsin - 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%

Wyoming - 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%

Alabama - 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%

Georgia - 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%

South Carolina - 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%

South Dakota - 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%

Florida - 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%

Nevada - 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%

Iowa - 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%

Ohio - 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%

that is because their unemployment benefits ran out and they dropped off the roles thus biasing the numbers

OP can you explain us why - regardless to you claim - the blue states receive less than a dollar back for every dollar they pay in taxes while the red states receive more?

The red state ripoff

Fear is the lengthened shadow of ignorance.

Well, consider these even more data points that reinforce the policy positions of fiscal conservatism: low tax burdens and decreased regulations boost real employment. I know, it's fifth grade logic, which mean it's certain to be ignored by the dug-in, hard-left, radical Sixties Marxist retreads controlling the modern Democrat Party

In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. This is yet another example of how the so-called “blue state” model is not working.

You are right, you should stop making so clear you use 5th grade logic when making your posts, people will only ignore if you if you make it clear you do not like to think.

For sale….

FIFTY YEAR OLD MANURE SPREADER – $1

YOU’RE PROBABLY NOT INTERESTED IN USED FARM EQUIPMENT, BUT YOU MIGHT ENJOY THIS AD TAKEN FROM CRAIG’S LIST.

FIFTY YEAR OLD MANURE SPREADER – $1 ( WASHINGTON , DC )

Fifty-year old manure spreader. Not sure of brand. Said to have been produced in Kenya . Used for a few years in Indonesia before being smuggled into the US via Hawaii . Of questionable pedigree. Does not appear to have ever been worked hard. Apparently, it was pampered by various owners over the years. It doesn’t work very often, but when it does it can sling s–t for amazing distances. I am hoping to retire the manure spreader this November. I really don’t want it hanging around getting in the way. I would prefer a foreign buyer to relocate the manure spreader out of the country. I would be willing to trade it for a nicely framed copy of the United States Constitution.

Location: Currently being stored in a big white house in Washington , D.C

They do not know or care about the policy decisions etc.. they just want to be able to make fun and hate on the president that is not Bush for revenge.

You can take this to the bank: Oblowme will take credit for the lower unemployment numbers, regardless of who is the Governor.

In fact, he will cite the statistics as an amazing accomplishment, that he was able to lower unemployment in these states, IN SPITE OF the Republican Governors.

He’s a jaded, twisted, sick SOB.

Which is what most of the birth certificate bullshit was about.

Since "we" all got to say " well Bush is not really the legal president" these guys want to be able to say the same thing about another president.

He is campaigning hard in the very states with Republican governors (Ohio, Wisc. Penn) and claiming it his victory on jobs. He has NO shame but then narcissists don’t.

That's easy: To keep so-called "red state" occupants "in line".

It is a practice that needs to end, as no State should bail out or otherwise subsidize another.

In fact, when this practice is ended (with State "getting back" exactly the same amount it would have sent to DC), great efficiencies will appear, and no State need send any money to DC for redistribution ever again.

Each State can then keep what they would have otherwise sent to DC for themselves and make their own spending decisions based upon the particular needs of citizens of each locality.

Thank you for bringing this grave injustice to the fore.
