The Smiths - There is a light that never goes out

I have been and still am a seeker, but I have ceased to question stars and books. I have begun to listen to the teachings my blood whispers to me: Hermann Hesse

If there be magic, let it be an art.

RE: Video Killed the Radio Star -- (80's music)
Amplifier is disturbing, but splendid for the same reason, and for what it brings up that doesn't get discussed often. Purposely contrary but for reasons. Edgy and sad, comedic but melancholy, overturning some common accepted but not examined assumptions.
Perhaps a metaphor, a swansong for a band that never "made it".
I've known a few men that might relate to the song.
The sound, style, and riffs became prominent in the 80's although the dB's never gained commercial success.
