There is atmosphere in Mars. You can breath on Mars like you do in very high mountains on Earth: it has little oxygen but sufficient to breath.

All the images from Mars were purposedly given in black and white to the people or the colors were "redified".

NASA itself said that the images colors were not correct and tried to explain the manipulation they did saying that the formula to join the three images of the three filters was not correct. Then they published some photos corrected.

You can see a blue sky in Mars.
