And then fishing and drinking with my pops all day afterwards.

I'm really looking forward showing everyone how bad I suck at cooking Jptdknpa.

Seriously though, in these uncertain times, it feels really awesome being outside of yourself, even if it's here and there.

Might go plant some seeds next week and sit down for our local council meeting and heckle our "elected officials," too.

Even if it's for naught, still gotta do my part. chuckle

That sounds like it's going to be a good day! :) One of my fondest memories is helping out in a kitchen during Thanksgiving. I messed my my hands so badly from scrubbing pots, but it was worth seeing all the families get together and laugh and eat (this was down in Anaheim/ La Casa Garcia I think it was called?) Eventually I'd like to go back to some of this volunteer work - it's so rewarding. And I love hanging out with people and just shooting the shit. Which happens a lot easier at places like homeless shelters or soup kitchens.

Have a good first day! :)

Make sure you only give them the broth.
No need to give them more than they need and get them all uppity.

Yeah. I really relish the opportunity to meet some like-minded people for a change (aka people who actually want to HELP other people) and do whatever I can to help others.

It's something I've talked about a lot, but when you realize that life is so short and that shit can hit the fan at any moment, it just seems like a waste to not do something.

Like I said, even if it creates no long-term change in the long run, it's still worth a shot.

I guess I've realized that we're all worth a second chance.

No, because now you look like the banker that took their house! Stop by and pick up a flannel and a pair of jeans.
