Most of the nation has lost interest and thinks this is over. I had my favorite hobby and lifelong passion for saltwater fishing stolen from me and my children by the greed and incompetence of a few, who will never be held accountable, I was even turned away (threatened) from my families camp by Wackenhut so that they could control the information leaving the area...I WILL NEVER FORGET.

Ironically I had taken up freshwater fishing in Bayou Corne.....until it started sinking and leaking radiation and gas.

My state needs a rape whistle.

It's heart breaking isnt it.

You made out ok through Isaac?

Yup, my AC was taken out by a large branch, and we were without power for 3 days, but we are just fine, thanks for asking.

How did you fare?

9 of our 10 acres became the river, but we were blessed to have no structural flooding.

Isaac was a strange storm...we better pray that a stronger storm never takes the path that Isaac did.

The thing that surprises me.... Most people in the rest of the country STILL do not realize how destructive that storm was. To them it was a Cat 1, non-event

Having been here my entire life there was nothing "normal" about this storm.

I still can't believe that we didn't evacuate New Orleans or Hwy 11....apparently we think we can play God and predict what these storms will do...Isaac reminded me of this fallacy.

We're lucky that most of the rooftops of New Orleans and those South (all the way to Venice) remained unoccupied.

This taught me that the gov't would rather prevent panic than have you prepare adequately for a disaster....they will not tell the truth. Make your' own decisions and listen to your' subconscious.

I have lost ALL FAITH in the ARMY Corps of Engineers. They have been trying to play God for too long....catastrophe will result...compounded by our arrogance.
