Decent salary isn't dependent on bankster games.

But I can do fine on $15/hr if I can get a job that pays it.

Fair enough but how much does that take? Houses and apartments are over priced, food is ridiculously expensive, gas is more than ever....

I can do it on $30k.

Unless I lose my house, then it'll cost more.

Should be easy to get then.

Cheer Cheer Cheer

In fact I was told to "come back" this week for several gigs.

Wish me luck.

That's the thing as well if you only make $30,000 a year now and try to buy a house the odds are against you

If I could just stick with my "only own 100 items" strategy, then I could get by with very little.

But I'm not very disciplined.

I went from 40 a year to 20 a year - in the same job - after outsourcing screwed me royally.

And what I do, I'd rather be cleaning out stalls for minimum wage. Soon to be.

As much as you can get, but it still doesn't matter. The U.S has a negative GDP when adjusted for inflation and even without adjusting for inflation, we have a negative 12% GDP if you remove the double counting of government spending. What this all means is that even with a very good salery, you are just climbing to the bow of the Titanic as the stern slips under. If we don't all get rich together, we are all going to be poor.

50k was the marker coming out of school. It's still (somewhat) valid.

I think age or experience is a factor, someone that has paid their dues are going to expect more.
