Know that the soviet union was not communism and that China is also not communism.

There is a philosophy that describes communism. It is negative towards capitalism, mostly about the relation between the worker and the owner. But that is also not the definition of communism.

I think Americans need to be educated about it. Not because I want them to accept communism, but because they need to be able to freely criticize capitalism and not be called a communist.

So what is communism, for real? Please also don't tell me it is everybody getting equal wages.

Because in the USSR and China the state, which is a select group, or a government, owns everything, that is not communism. And in China there is a lot of profit making by capitalist working corporations, or even the government.
Profit that is not earned by work, but just by owning.

If you believe that the core is control by a few over the rest who they exploit, than you confuse it with capitalism. If you do see difference on all 4, then you maybe would start making sense.

I have been to russia, 7 times Georgia twice and Slovikia once. Trust me If you think you want communism, you are a fool. Go to Detroit the most socialistic city in the entire nation, you will see how Marxism works to completely destroy a city and nation.
