What is the weirdest pet you've ever owned?
I've had alot of pets in my childhood. Most likely because I grew up in South Africa and there is plenty of space and pets aren't taxed or need documents for them unlike where I currently live. I guess the weirdest would have to be a pet pig, but also had a tortoise which ran away LOL. I remember one stage both our cats got pregnent at the same time and we had like 10+ kitties running aroung until we had to take them away, that was a very sad moment.

The pig got stolen though imo, people love their bacon.... and lets face it, it is south africa. chuckle

Burmese Python. After he got to about 6 or 7 foot my mom wouldn't let me keep it at the house because he was so strong he could get out of any cage.

Tree frogs. This one spent the winter amongst the plants on the kitchen counter. I guess he decided it was a good place to stay, I didn't invite him and I'm not sure how he got in. It doesn't take long for them to get tame enough to take food out of your hand. When spring arrived he was anxious to get with his buddies so I helped him safely outside.

This is my second pet frog.

Praying Mantis in a cage I made out of bamboo skewers.

I would catch flies in a butterfly net and then shake them up really good before putting them in her cage.

She would hang out on my laptop when I let her out and she would go back into her cage when I put her in front of the open gate.

I'd have to go with the bat... how the heck did you get it?

I've always wanted to have a pet owl, but I don't think I'd have the hart to feed some tiny critter to it.

heh - at one time - in an apartment - 10-1/2' boa (had her since she was 16" long), mexican red leg tarantula, mated pair of jackson chameleons, 5 peruvian (long hair) guinea pigs that I raised for show. Lots of aquariums - big oscar lived with a big shovelnose (aka pig) - those two ate 100 goldfish every couple weeks, couple tanks of breeding convicts - boy they liked to breed!

Oh yeah, and Timmy the rat - who lucked out of being snake food as I had to go bigger for the snake.

amazed my science teacher...he wouldn't hold it either so not sure if it really qualify s as a pet , kept it 2 days
day I caught it next day took it to school turned it loose that night
had no idea how to feed it
