Interestingly, I was thinking along those same lines this afternoon. For how long have I heard about the roaming gangs of inner city blacks that would terrorize the countryside if the system collapses? Several decades at least. What I was thinking today was, if blacks actually started attacking whites in a SHTF survival scenario, whites in general are better armed and better trained with firearms, as well as still outnumbering blacks by 5 to 1 or more. So what would happen very soon is any black would be shot on sight.

They would think Podunk would be easy pickins as they rolled into it, in a car pillaged from the suburbs, but 20 deer rifles would be aimed at them, with not an ounce of White Guilt on the triggers.

The way i see it lines will be more divided into pockets of town against town, county against county as the haves and have nots duke it out for dwindling resources. Something like

Expect ethnic warfare more in the large cities as various groups band together for safety and survival.

Ethnic tensions always flare up when any populace is placed under pressure. In some places it will be a major issue, in other places it will be almost a non issue it will certainly not be the only issue. For some they will target others based on ethnicity alone, many will target anyone they need to or feel they can, there will be a lot of blue on blue ethnic violence as well with people targeting others in their own ethnic grouping, this will once again be a much larger issue in some areas than others. In a major collapse being with your ethnic group will not guarantee your safety (this goes for white folks in rural areas as well) I would say the main factor is the sense of community in such areas that would improve your safety more so than an ethnic homogeneity.

Sad to say, but the Lebanese civil war 1975-1991 will probably be the model for a civil war in the U.S. Much of "white America" (which will not be all-white) will probably live relatively undisturbed, especially in the country and most of the suburbs, but the urban and minority areas will become absolute battlegrounds.

I would say become friends with your neighbors, of all colors, real fast. Definitely become involved with a church, even if you are an atheist. It will become a major source of support and will mitigate much of the racism.
