The use of the word "Amen" is used in the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths. One thing they all have in common is that they are giving praise to the Egyptian God Amen (Zeus, Thor, Jupiter).

This is false, sorry to say.

Amen does not have anything to do with Amun, the Hidden One, the One True God.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amen

It is a Hebrew term mainly, and does not have to do with the Egyptian language or the name of Amun which can also be pronounced Yamanu.

Also, Thor is not = to Amun. Thor just means thunder.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor

Zeus and Jupiter are connected, and Amun was at times associated with Zeus and Jupiter by Greeks and Romans.

Zeus was pronounced Zayfs and Jupiter was pronounced Eeyooputhayr or Diu Puthayr and was sometimes also called by the epithet Optimus Maximus meaning the Best and Greatest.

http://www.studylight.org/lex/grk/view.cgi?number=3962

The term can mean God the Master (Pater).

Zeus and Jupiter are just names of God, as is Amun.

Amen is a statement.

I will never understand this obsession with God having to have one name in any language and across time.
People have languages and words, God is greater than that.
If you address Him as Zeus, and in your heart/mind you are sincere in wanting to talk to the Creator, do you really think he will say
"oops, sorry, wrong name'?

Good post. I believe that intention is most important, but also the meaning of the word itself.

Amun is defined appropriately and is without a doubt a reference to the Ultimate God.

Zeus may have some unsavory myths associated with the term, but it is still a reference to God as the Oracle of Apollo eventually clarified.

The same goes for the Numen and Jupiter.

There is only One God.

Now if someone calls Thor God or Dagon God I'd have to disagree, not because of the names, but because Thor means Thunder and Dagon means Wheat.

The Thunder can be taken as a sign of God, but Odin and the epithets of Odin make it more clear that Odin is God.

Good!

It is high damn time Zeus was once again given the respect and thanks he deserves, after being ignored in favor of the alien so-called 'one true God' by the legions of the deceived for so many centuries.

Praise be to the Great and Mighty Zeus, may he guard and guide us.

haha Bless You.

In any case though, the term Jesus wasn't actually pronounced Gee Zuss like it is today.

Ee yay Soo(s) (Yuhsoh) was a transliteration of the Aramaic word Eesho pronounced Ees hoh or Ees hah in the Palestinian dialect which didn't put as much sh pressure.

Zeus was pronounced Zayfs.

So the Jesus pronunciation of today and the hay zeus doesn't really have to do with Zeus (Zayfs) and Eesho.
