**Offline at the mo**

I mean consumers feed the world. It just so happens that most consumers are in the western world. Because our countries have been turned to shit, people have to buy things made elsewhere. The consumers feed a lot of the Chinese people that make the garbage we buy. Also, because of the police state and all the selfishness, imported violence and culture destruction that accompanies the universal consumer culture, people have to get out of here to have fun. Mexico? Thailand? Where do tourists go to find a little trouble or have some fun? Wherever they go, they are seen as a wallet and end up feeding people in these great, little relaxing countries. All those rich people, I think consumers put most of the food on their table, too, by buying anything and everything they can almost afford.

It must feel nice, yeah?

Boy, you talk about backwards logic, it takes 6 countries, mostly south of u.s. border, to keep our gigantic bellys full, and you're claiming that you feed them?
Besides, you don't know that I know you, but I do. You probably didn't know that I saved your life the other day. I saw you walking across the street, right in front of me, and, I decided to not run over you, thus, saving your life.

OP here...I was, in fact, trolling with this thread. An attempt to inspire thought that failed. More of a statement about consumerism than it is about feeding the world, backward or absurd logic included.

I didn't claim that I feed anyone. I barely feed myself sometimes. Not sure how you got that out of my post, but you just keep making that belly fat, don't worry about making subtle little threats, or whatever that is.

Funny you should say that you contemplate vehicular homicide, I made a mental note just this morning of just how many times I've read recently about someone being dying after being hit by a car. Maybe you need a new m.o.?

Now the Chinese have been marked to take up the same roll the US had for 60 years, the consumers of the world.

That towel has just about been rung dry, we see all Major Corporations in the US have relocated much of their production [and headquarters] to China as that is being set up as the New USA, more people, more land, more resources, they are better monkeys, more obedient.

They just have to find a major enemy to justify all the rules regulations and expenses now.

The same corporations that made their money of the sweat and blood of Good Americans are now going to do the same in China.

China, the E.U., Russia, India, Turkey, Iran. These are the future markets and powerhouses of the world being fused into one big trading block.

I live in a backwater country, that is how it is always going to be for us, no particular threat or resource. Other countries might find themselves painted enemies as the US Administration has done over the years, to justify the need for a Military machine.

I really don't think there's any stopping materialism from sneaking into China. My impression is that the Chinese will try to limit consumerism to the Tier 1 cities...but I don't know if that's even possible. Shiny things are shiny. Its kind of tragic.
