OMG, are you for real? How can anyone be so damn naive? What is your IQ? Mine was 148 when I was 18, and 168 when I was 42. I'm in my mid-50's now so I suspect it must be a little bit higher yet. Your average American is around 90, which is pretty simple minded ( they are the people that are generally entertained watch grown men play games with little balls, i.e. bowling, baseball, football, etc., chuckle).

Okay then. So, in this new world of yours, I hereby assign you to the free ditch digging squad. We'll need ditches you know. Or, you can haul free bricks around all day. Or you can pump poop from septic tanks. Of course these are idiots job, but hey, we're gonna do this by IQ qualification since money is no longer an incentive and thus people will have to be ordered to do the less "appealing" jobs.

You are naive if you think a free-for-all world would work. Or if you think many would go for such silliness.

Seriously OP, you should check out the Rainbow Family, it's already happening and has been happening. Not as ideal in the states, but it exists and still maintains ties to civilization. But, if you have no experience with this lifestyle it's a great way to get some exposure to it

Of course humankind's future demands this type of system eventually.

Nobody is assigning any jobs to anyone. No one is ordering anyone to do anything.

For a smart guy you don't sound it and you obviously didn't read my entire post. IQ obviously does not include common sense.

Money isn't the only insentive in life.

Thanks for playing. Talk about naive and closed minded. It's this kind of brainwashing we must overcome.

Incentive. No, for some, such as yourself, it may not be. But it is why I get out of bed everyday, and that's my prerogative, my motivation, my desire, my choice, my incentive, and you and everybody have no say in it, thankfully.

The world will not be exactly, or even close, to what any of us personally wish it and everyone else would be, that is impossible. And wrong. Don't push or force your beliefs, religion, whatever, upon others, that's wrong, evil, manipulative, coercive, PTB'ish.

Why don't you just leave others alone to be as they please. You be as you want to be, others be as they please, everybody happy. You go play no money with your friends, I'll play money with mine. Okay? Okay!

Sure.

You go play "I'm a slave" with your slave friends and I"ll go play with my "We're free to pursue our dreams" friends.

And stop forcing your "I'm a slave and that's what I live for" lifestyle on the rest of us.chuckle

I'd be more than willing to try out life over there if it looks like it has potential to become a modern, functional civilization. Though I wouldn't go if it looks like its residents would end up like the isolated peoples of the Amazon Jungle -- meaning, none of them had the skill nor the will to make something of their new home.

Eliminating money changes nothing, people will still need to get up and grow food, cook food, dig ditchers, pump poop, etc.

I fail to see how eliminating money is gonna get the laundry done so I'll have time to screw-off day dreaming all day in your world. You would be no more free.

It's not money that makes you a slave, it's what you desire, your choice of life style that does. The new car you want makes you a slave. It's you. I am no slave. I am my own boss. There are places in this world where money isn't used. Why don't you go there and be happy in your free grass skirt and free bone in your nose?

What is I wanted a new Porsche?
Or wanted to go overseas to Spain and spend the summer clubbing in Ibiza? How could I pay for it in a cashless society?

Friend although it's always an interesting thought and concept (human inclusion, unity and mutual respect)..you have to understand and take into consideration the bipolar nature of humanity, reality and existence,

Because in reality these types of egalitarian social systems only work well for short periods of time...as people all join and work as one up until a few deluded individuals start to believe they are more important than others and therefore introduce systems of hierarchical judgement, law and control to praise or victimise those they don't like or understand..and there the typical patterns of fake elitism, corruption and exploitation would take over.

Admittedly ...it is still better ideal than dog eat dog capitalism or tyrannical hierarchical socialism ..so go good to aspire and try for, but having lived and worked in cooperatives and rural communities.... sadly the harmony and unity never lasts long...because people personal needs and individual charactors always begin to show interact, affect and interfear ...eventually leading to the same reality that the stronger and the smart will always begin to take advantage of those less equipped....Ergo back to the fake imbalanced hierarchial systems we have now!

That's easy. Can you afford a Porsche now? Then go get one now. I'm talking about reasonable people with reasonable needs. Maybe if all cars were Porsches then everyone could have a Porsche but that's just silly. Porsches are made for people with a lot of expendable income. Do you want a nice car that runs on free energy (A Porsche does not run on free energy). In a moneyless society you would just go and get one. One that suits your needs. It would be yours. Do you need two cars? Maybe. It depends on what your services are. Maybe you need a delivery truck for your work. You can have one suited to your needs and if it breaks down you just get it fixed for free by someone who loves to do and excel at that type of work.
Yes you can go "clubbing" if that's really important to you and all of the things you need while there would be free. Remember though that we would all be equal because there's no money. Therefore I imagine you would have to wait your turn to go clubbing in Spain. Eventually you could go there and many other places on the planet and everything you need food, drinks, transportation, whatever would be yours if you need it. You'll just have to do it on your own time like your annual vacation. You can't just do what you want when you want in any society. Free or not.

There would be rules just like there are rules now. All things people need to live well would eventually be provided but I think hoarding would be a sign of mental illness just like it is now.

I'm not saying that this can happen overnight and that things will be the same as now for people that have boatloads of money. I'm saying that people need to get back to what's really important. Family, friends, community and taking care of the planet would be the priority.

I'm also saying that we're on this planet to help each other, not compete against each other to see who can have more junk or see who can make more money. That's insane. Money only makes the world go around because they have made us slaves to it. The love of money is the root of all evil and unfortunately most people love money.

SEE the man who changed our WORLD. He wanted to do much more but TPTB put an end to it when they realized it would make all people free.

Consider it this way...in a community of 100 people, one person could easily grow all the food for the year. Drive the tractor to plant the seeds, harvest, etc. But this would probably be like a full time job. So instead of having one person do all the work, let all 100 people drive the tractor for an hour each. See, thats just one hour of work per person for the whole year, at least for growing plants. Wouldn't you rather do that than work 2000 hours a year under capitalism?

If you wanted to go to Spain for the summer, im sure you could fly there in a moneyless society. Without money, they'll be better forms of energy, that are currently being supressed by the need to "create jobs" and "keep people working" And better aircraft that will get you there in a half an hour as opposed to 8 hours. And before you say, 'who's going to fly them' theres people like me that would be more than happy to fly something like that.
