cow Why Are There So Many "Barbradys" on a Conspiracy Website?
You would think that everyone here would be on the same page but there always seems to be a large group of posters here that always try to "Barbrady" the post off the page altogether.....

Seems like a conspiracy to me....

I'd love to make a list of them all but Geogal would put me in the corner for that.... chuckle

Anyways.... your thoughts?

Are they frightened of the doom and need to rationalize it away?

Are they paid to derail information?

Do they really have that much faith in the mainstream and "popular science" of the day?

It makes them feel empowered, sort of like christian bashing.

No group, NONE, will ever, ever agree on everything or anything for that matter.

You can have numerous witnesses on a court stand and none will be in complete agreement.

For as many eyes see, there are as many perspectives to experience, and you always see things a bit different from a different vantage point.

People accuse me of Christian bashing but I only post the truth I find. If I didn't have anything to back up my claims, I wouldn't say anything at all..... People who "bash" a subject without doing any investigation of their own are just as guilty as the ones who don't investigate their own beliefs. People today spend more time researching what car to buy than they do seeking the real answers to the religion they claim to believe..... It's easy to have your beliefs told to you, it takes work to find out the real truth....

I'm sure he means people like me, Currahee, Cooterbrown, and others who don't buy into the doom and fear mongering stuff.

There is nothing wrong with knowing what is going on around you, yet deciding to not let that knowledge consume and control your life. That is exactly what "they" want.

Because someone does not agree with the points that you try to make, does not mean that they are wrong skippy. How many people have posted about impending doom blar blar blar? has it happened? no is the short answer!.

Why do you feel the need to berate people for not buying into the brand of doom that you sell?

I do not get annoyed that you personally believe that x,y and z are going to happen, it really makes no difference too me 1 way or the other.

I believe fear is 1 of the worst things to try and motivate anyone with. I look at these threads that people make here, follow the logic and form my OWN opinion.

As i pointed out earlier on another thread, we are all on a rock flying through space, we could make loads of doom right there just from that. But we are all still here and the earth is still turning. The earth has been here 4.5 billion years and seems to do ok all by itself, there is nothing that we can do 1 way or the other to have an effect on what is going on throughout the ENTIRE solar system.

I prefer to take each day as it comes, and if it all ends today, then so be it, Persoanlly i do not believe anything serious is going too happen, that does not mean that i am paid by someone to put this particular viewpoint across, it means i have my own brain and try to use to the best of my ability and am not easily swayed1 way or the other.

Fact is people , scientists everyone has an opinion and really with what is going on throughout the entire system, no one knows everyone is either taking an educated guess or an uneducated guess oh of course there are the doomers also that want it too happen, the people that want to sell you things so you can survive the coming apocolypse.

I have seen the quotes from old books you have put up here in the past and while they are interesting, they are opinion same as everything else. Do i berate you for it or make a thread in relation too doomers? no i do not.

Lets say something happened too me, something that let me know everything was going to be ok, should i not listen too that and listen to your flavour of doom instead? Which would you do? discernment is the key, i wont bore you with the details as you probably wouldnt be interested as there is no doom, but please bear all i have said in mind for future ref when dealing with peeps that do not follow you 100%.]

Enjoy, i hope we do not create our own reality because yours is full of doom by the sounds of it!.

Try taking a walk in the forest or by the river and just listen and feel the sounds and smells of the world around you. This place is beautiful with or without doom.

"Christians", and all the other pushers of superstitious bullshit wouldn't get bashed if they kept their crap OFF OF LOP.

LOP is NOT a religious site. The bible thumpers and OTHER religious zealots that infest this site invite bashing merely because of the fact that they post their crap here.

Quoting text from various old religious tomes, telling folks here that jesus is the saviour, or that Mohammed is the prophet, or that their particular god is the real one, or that "this path" or "that path" is the right one, are all things that don't belong here.

Great, great post. He says he doesn't wants to "prepare" people, and not posting stuff to pump fear, yet with this post it seems he wants everyone to be irrational about the "doom" he and others post. Should we all base our lives on what we read here? Should we board up our windows, lock our doors, and just wait for the apocalypse? Or should we take this knowledge, remember it for when we need it, and live as "normal" of a life as we can, for our own sake and for our loved ones?

I will surely use some stuff I have learned here when I need to, but I will not base my life around it. It seems many have let fear consume them, they have let their "knowledge" get the best of their minds. I am all for sharing information, but when you expect everyone to agree that the end is near and we should all live our lives with such glum, that is no way to go about things.

If there was no doom going on.... you guys would have some valid points.... However, the alarming amount of crazy world changes warrants a more investigative approach. To sit back and watch what is going on in the world and say "It's all normal, no reason to be alarmed" is irresponsible at best and foolish at worst....

You know my thoughts on the Bible. I research it differently than most people do... I believe there is something to this deluge myth. It is described in more books than just the Bible texts as well.

Here's another myth for ya.... Imagine Paul Revere riding down main street Lunaticville, USA shouting "The pole shift is coming!!!, the pole shift is coming!!!"

Would the proper response be to get out of bed and prepare... or turn over and say "That's just ol' Paul again...."

Everybody believe that the mega pole shift is going to happen and live in fear. I never thought that was the case, but now it seems that's exactly the motive.

Those of us who choose rational thinking over thinking the end is always going to come are "barbradys" I guess.

It's more original than shill, that's a plus.

So... because YOU perceive doom he must agree with you or you'll slander him for not subscribing to your beliefs? Furthermore, you're always so bent out of shape over doom that we have absolutely ZERO control over if your doom was in fact truth.

Damn Rager for being a free thinker... no, actually damn YOU for more or less telling him he's an asshat for thinking or himself - even if he comes to an alternate conclusion than you.
