I've noticed a common theme here. Anytime someone posts ANYTHING that could be related to spirituality (not necessarily Christian) the wolves come out. These atheists get down right nasty, mean, and disgusting. I don't come around here as much anymore due to the massive amounts of profanity and nastiness from these people. This used to be a place that people could discuss issues reasonably. Now it's turned into a place of major hate speech and nastiness. What happened?

It only feels that way to you because your mind is filled with indefensible nonsense. It makes you ultra sensetive to criticism and you always feel like you are being attacked. None of what you feel is happening is actually transpiring in reality, it's only in your head because your position becomes increasingly indefensible.

Conundrum:

As the substructure of the universe regresses infinitely towards smaller and smaller components and likewise in the opposite scale as things loom larger and more massive. Behind atoms we find electrons, and behind electrons, quarks. Each layer unraveled reveals new secrets, but also new mysteries.

Would we, near the terminals of these infinite extremes, find God?

That's a decent start, but closer to home is the best place.

Everybody wants simple solutions, but nobody wants to believe the simple answers.

If you think about the fact that the local universe is bound by very simple principles, it's utterly amazing that people find simple explanations so hard to believe.

Maybe we just have a tendency to over-complicate things because we are so smart ?
