Yeah, that's what I'm questioning. It just seems like a waste of time to me.
If I were pro ron paul, pro obama or whatever I would try to convince the other
camp that I'm right and they're wrong on sites they frequent. It just seem more
productive that way...

Well I think most of the mods are Democrats. The schism that occured between LOP and GLP was due to politics. GLP is very pro-Republican, whereas LOP is closer to the Democrats.

Maybe dissent is quelled completely on Pro-Obama sites? To be fair, I've not even looked for such a site since 2008, so I'm not up to speed on what they are, or their freedom of speech policies. Just a guess.

I've never seen it that way. GLP is a f*cking shithole if you ask me. There's
so much hate and vileness over there... I truly hope for the republicans that
the assholes posting over there are not representative of their "side", 'cuz if

Well there is a brand of ''populism'' that is close to the Democrats. Populism claims to support the people against the elites, and so it looks right-wing, even though it is actually left-wing. You can see evidence of left-wing populism within the anti-GMO, anti-banking, anti-business, pro-secular, pro-women ideologies that exist in some of the threads.
