Blackberry was genuinely secure; no wonder it's getting the boot everywhere.

I'm pretty sure Apple bribes decision-makers at a high level. It's insane how Apple products are handed out so freely at some companies and school boards, etc for really bullshit reasons.
IBM is known to bribe as well, and I've often wondered if that's not partly the purpose for their offshore 'cash' hoards that they are known to have.

Because I don't care. Think Google is better? I think if you carry a device, you are just as vulnerable.
We make our choices. I could carry a burner flip phone everywhere, pay for everything in cash, hide my face from cameras, proxy my internet searches, but for what? None of these actions will change the system, the only person I will punish is myself.
Don't think for a second that not picking Apple will somehow preserve your privacy.

Tell me about it, Where I live, all of the schools from elementary to highschool are being given Ipads to use in the classroom. It is ridiculous. Conditioning kids with technology much?

I think the appearance of the products themselves has a lot to do with it. Because people are so superficial that it actually makes them feel superior to have a sleek looking and glamorous machine regardless of it's performance capabilities.

It's the hardware version of Facebook. They both serve the same purpose. A 'catch all' for those with a limited perception.
