The funniest thing about these scare tactics is that the mac people are cracking up at the small mindedness of the pro windork comments! Face it, it sucks to be the poorest at anything and Windows was always and always will be a hack peace of poo. The only reason to post drivel like this is cause the DoD partnered with windows early and the people now feel that the contract isn't going to end. I bought my first mac in 2001 and was sorely disappointed that NOTHING was compatible with it. Only windows. Well... Lots changed in 10+ years. I bet Dell and windows go broke by 2020.... Just like they told me Mac was going to do in 2001.

Here is the deal about mac tracking by the fibs... if you upgraded past 10.5, yes they can track everything. They just admitted it when they stopped supporting the 10.5 OS. That is why "they" offed Jobs before his time. Like with Tesla last century, the small minded were threatened by Macs run away dedication to making the best so they offed him. His legacy however will be here as long as the grids hold.

My 2007 intel macbook pro running 10.5OS was the best thing I have ever invested in. I still have my machines from 2001 running 10.5 as well. They are comparably slower but still work great.

The reason we do not need to hack our computers, etc. is because they thought of everything. I mean, have you seen the upgrades of 10.6-8??? It is mostly window dressing for social networks and portables. Oh ya and the backdoor BS so the fibs can watch ye! But no real imrovements in core function of a desktop. Just streamlining for faster workflow.

As a photo editor/film maker/audio recorder/conspiricy theorist, I don't need anything else but this tried and true macbook! And I make my money working on my old G4 towers. Now the iPad... that tish is limited! But soo inspector gadget!!! So I dig it but don't need it.

Last point to fry the window... by the time you by your Dell and purchase a music recording software, a photo and video editing software, Norton virus protection and a DVD burner setup... you could have just got the mac for the same price... boing!!!

Aside from maybe(maybe)music recording, all those can be had for free and a dvd player is like a ten year investment those can be swapped out.

Because I don't care. Think Google is better? I think if you carry a device, you are just as vulnerable.
We make our choices. I could carry a burner flip phone everywhere, pay for everything in cash, hide my face from cameras, proxy my internet searches, but for what? None of these actions will change the system, the only person I will punish is myself.
Don't think for a second that not picking Apple will somehow preserve your privacy.
