i work in animal rescue...i believe animals are as important as humans...i dont believe this horsehit story though...its a marketting campaign...if i saw a hundred elephants at my crib for my dead poppa...i might take a f*cking PICTURE!!!!!! especially if they were there for an extended period of time...wouldnt you "bed"?

There was one photo published of elephants heading in a line toward the house. In regards to publication, if there were unreleased photos it would be advantageous to publish those later with a posthumous book. It is pleasing you rescue animals, but as a human you're rude on this forum.

I have no interest in your thoughts on this subject.

Are you calling bs on the elephants coming to the compound or on elephants being capable of complex emotions, including grief? Assuming the story is not true and is marketing to sell books, do the elephants not benefit from that. Looks to me like the man and his family devoted a lot of their time and resources to the sanctuary. You have no reason to believe because there is not a picture. I have no reason not to believe just because there is no picture. In either case we are coming from belief.

The value of this thread is raising awareness at the marvelous, complex world of animal thought and feeling. That I know to be true without a doubt. If the price of that is I'm being lied to by the ghost of the elephant whisperer, then it's still a bargain to me.
