RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
LoP Guest  Wrote:
Well if you go to India,Well if you go to America,Well if you go to China,Well if you go to Japan,Well if you go to Egypt. You will get many prayers to different gods. But don't the prayers reach the same Conciousness no matter the gods?

What different Gods are you talking about?

If someone defines "A" one way and "B" the same, then how are "A" and "B" more than just different letters representing the same thing?

The names of Gods are usually just descriptive terms for God.

Shiva isn't a name so much as an honorary title of praise and an attribute, meaning auspicious one, for example.

Amun, from the ancient Egyptian religion means something like "hidden one".

These are all qualities of God.

God is the God of the oceans.

God is the God of the sky and deep space (heavens).

God is the God of the Earth and the ground.

God is the God of all creatures.

God is the God of the harvest.

God is the God of wealth and fortune.

God is the God of misery and death.

God is the God of everything.

Hinduism is thought by some or many to be monotheistic ultimately, with the variety of Gods being attributes to the one God. At a time Egyptian religion may have been understood like this, with Amun being the God to which all the netjer were attributes and descriptive qualities. If Greek and Roman religion is going to be taken metaphorically, this is also the case, and all polytheistic religions can be interpreted as metaphors for all the qualities of the one God.

I think that it can confuse and may have confused many people to create descriptive humanized imagery in relation to these descriptive attributes, but ancient priests probably understood these as symbolic rather than literal, as many Brahman priests do today in India.

In Han China, they worshipped Shangdi meaning Above Sovereign, monotheistically, and only later other celestials were added, each representing an attribute of Shangdi's power.

This happened with Zoroastrianism as well, and one could even go so far as to say that it happened with Christianity, where the mind, body, and spirit were seperated into a trinity.

But I believe God is one, and not a human being or any creation, is in the image of nothing, made of no materials, but all materials exist within God who can also completely make them nothing. God encompasses all knowledge, but no knowledge or information or form can encompass God the infinite, so only descriptive attributes can be named.

The Zoroastrians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, and Sihks among others have created lists of attributes of God, that are all generally the same. You can look at the meaning of the names of various Gods from polytheistic religions or their attributes or areas and control and realize that each area is controlled by the one God and that these are just metaphors for God's areas of control and attributes.

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
Here are some names of God from the various religions:

From Islam:

The Qur'an says:

"Say: Invoke God, or invoke the Most Gracious:
by whichever name you invoke God,
God is always the One -- for God's are all the attributes of perfection."
(Al Isra 17:110)

And God's alone are the attributes of perfection; invoke God, then, by these, and stand apart from all who distort the meaning of God's attributes.
(Al A'Raf 7:180)

God is God, other than Whom there is no other god;
God knows both what is hidden and what can be witnessed;
God is the Most Compassionate and Merciful.
God is God, other than Whom there is no other god;
the Sovereign, the One, the Source of Peace,
the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Security,
the Exalted, the Compelling, the Supreme.
Glory be to God, beyond any (crude) associations.
God is God, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Form.

[Rigveda 1:164:46] Book 1, hymn 164 and verse 46:

"Sages (learned Priests) call one God by many names."

The Rigveda gives several different attributes to Almighty God. Many of these are mentioned in Rigveda Book 2 hymn 1.

As mentioned earlier this also goes against Svetasvatara Upanishad Chapter 4 verse 19.

"Na tasya pratima asti"
"There is no likeness of Him"

The following verse from the Rigveda Book 8, hymn 1, verse 1 refer to the Unity and Glory of the Supreme Being:

"Ma cid anyad vi sansata sakhayo ma rishanyata" "O friends, do not worship anybody but God, the Divine One. Praise God alone."
[Rigveda 8:1:1]10

"Devasya samituk parishtutih"
"Verily, great is the glory of the Divine Creator."
[Rigveda 5:1:81]11

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
LIFE SPEAKING  Wrote:
DEAR LORD, FORGIVE US OF OUR SINS...
BLANKET OUR DESTINY TODAY...
REMOVE OUR FEARS...
AND ALLOW HARMONY TO RAIN FREE....
NO MOUNTIAN IS TO HIGH...
NO WATER TO DEEP...
I AM FREE...
LORD I AM FREE..
AMEN........

JACKSASS

That was a great prayer! I really liked that one.

I wouldn't be bold enough to tell God that I am free, but would rather ask that God keeps me free from oppression and harm and surrounded by harmony. That was an excellent prayer though! Thank you so much for writing it!

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
In Hebrew scripture such as the Bible, some of the titles of God are as follows:

Elohay Kedem - God of the Beginning: (Deuteronomy 33:27).
Elohay Mishpat - God Of Justice: (Isaiah 30:18).
Elohay Selichot - God Of Forgiveness: (Nehemiah 9:17).
Elohay Marom - God Of Heights: (Micah 6:6).
Elohay Mikarov - God Who Is Near: (Jeremiah 23:23).
Elohay Mauzi - God Of My Strength: (Psalm 43:2).
Elohay Tehilati - God Of My Praise: (Psalm 109:1).
Elohay Yishi - God Of My Salvation: (Psalm 18:46).
Elohim Kedoshim - Holy God: (Leviticus 19:2, Joshua 24:19).
Elohim Chaiyim - Living God: (Jeremiah 10:10).

"EL" is another name used for God in the Bible, showing up about 200 times in the Old Testament. El is the simple form arising from Elohay, and is often combined with other words for descriptive emphasis. Some examples:

El HaNe'eman - The Faithful God: (Deuteronomy 7:9).
El HaGadol - The Great God: (Deuteronomy 10:17).
El HaKadosh - The Holy God: (Isaiah 5:16).
El Yisrael - The God Of Israel: (Psalm 68:35).
El HaShamayim - The God Of The Heavens: (Psalm 136:26).
El De'ot - The God Of Knowledge: (1 Samuel 2:3).
El Emet - The God Of Truth: (Psalm 31:6).
El Yeshuati - The God Of My Salvation: (Isaiah 12:2).
El Elyon - The Most High God: (Genesis 14:18).
El Olam - The God Of Eternity (Genesis 21:33).
El Echad - The One God: (Malachi 2:10).

"ELAH" is another name for God, used about 70 times in the Old Testament. Again, when combined with other words, we see different attributes of God. Some examples:

Elah Yerush'lem - God of Jerusalem: (Ezra 7:19).
Elah Yisrael - God of Israel: (Ezra 5:1).
Elah Sh'maya - God of Heaven: (Ezra 7:23).
Elah Sh'maya V'Arah - God of Heaven and Earth: (Ezra 5:11).

Eloah and Elah is cognate to the akkadian and arabic Allah and is pronounced the same, as "Uhllah".

http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Names_o...eloha.html

In the ancient language of Akkad, the word for God was also Allah with a root meaning of powerful, ultimate, beyond, one, God.

In the language of the Bible, the term Adonai (Owner) and El Shaddai (The Destroyer) are also used. Many pronounce the tetragrammaton (meaning four letters) of YHVH as Adonai rather than pronouncing the four letters.

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
Womam  Wrote:
Do you know a way to prove that God exists?

Well, it could be impossible to "prove" anything, since it requires one to believe in whatever is used as evidence, so ultimately it comes down to "belief". For example, one could even say other people don't exist, and are just projections of our own mind or imagination and even find what they consider evidence or proof of this belief. Ultimately, nobody seems to know anything for certain, and are left with just beliefs of what they think is real or not.

But thinking about it carefully might lead one to conclude that indeed there is something we could call God by the standards of ancient scriptures.

Basically you need to cut down to essentials. We are experiencing "something", so at least "something" exists. It seems this "something" that exists now was not always as it was or is, and seems to be in flux, changing constantly. It seems complex, and seems to indicate that there was a point of origin.

There is a word called "nothing" which is used to represent a concept of no things in existence. There is no such thing as "nothing" in reality. If there ever was "nothing" there would still be "nothing", because "nothing" can't do anything at all, nor support the existence of anything at all. Nothing can only produce nothing, nothing can suddenly start to exist within nothing. So there was "something" even if there seemed to be "nothing". I believe there was something that may have been in the image of nothing, or basically an infinite and limitless, immeasurable, unlimited thing that has always existed that existed then. Nothing created it, there is no time, it is essentially all there ever was. Lets call this thing "A".

"A" has an amazing ability to manifest and support the frameworks for things, as well as create everything without any need of anything. "A" is alone in this ability, and "A" is self sufficient, meaning that "A" needs nothing in order to create.

"A" is both alive and active. If "A" were not alive, nothing would have happened or be happening. If "A" were not active, nothing would be activated or continuing in operation. "A" animates everything as well.

"A" is infinite and all powerful (has all the power, or essentially the only true power, which is animation, activation, influence, control). Everything is within "A" encompassed by "A" nothing can exist outside of "A", "A" is what supports anything that exists.

"A" is "thinking" in a way, and thought of the initial framework for this universe, and created the materials in it, and even thought of all the possibilities that could possibly happened and made some of those possibilities available to us. Basically anything you can think or do was originally created by "A" and is supported by "A" and the process of thinking or doing is ultimately animated by "A" as well.

So back to the basics, if one thinks carefully, they'll probably realize that all that is now, had to come from somewhere, as well as the framework that supports the universe, the rules, and all that had a point of origin since these are highly complex.

One could say "but what created "A" anyway?"

"A" has always existed, if "A" didn't exist at any point, nothing would exist.

If we do say that "A" was created it becomes an infinite regression of "A" an "A" creating an "A" creating an "A" and so on. It is much simpler to just say there is only "A" who is infinite and ultimate.

"A" is the uncreated creator of absolutely anything that exists.

So the closest thing we can come to "proving" God to anyone is to encourage them to really think very carefully.

Many great thinkers in the past have come to this conclusion by careful thinking. Religious scriptures in their earliest iterations also showed the idea of an all powerful originator, that was later (probably misunderstood) through describing each attribute in an anthropomorphized way leading later people to think that each was a "God", when there is only "A" who has all the power.

Why should we worship and pray to "A"? It is not possible to prove to people that "prayer works" even though there have been some benefits shown by science. If there is something that has power, and all the power, and is alive, active, aware, while also animating and controlling all existence and experience, then that is the only thing that can help anyone or answer any prayers.

From my own experience, I strongly believe "A" actively answers prayers and is responsive. Even if "A" wasn't responsive, I still think giving it a shot "just in case" would be useful for many reasons. If something has all the power, and does whatever it wants, asking for assistance or making an appeal may help.

"A" is known by many different names across the world. In Egypt, "A" was known as "Amun" for a certain period, but was understood as being all powerful and that all the "netjer" were merely descriptive attributes of Amun.

In the ancient akkadian language the word was Allah, which had the root meaning powerful, beyond, ultimate, one, God. The word has continued to be used around the world and is one of the most frequently used noun (if not the most frequently used noun) in the world.

Allah was also the word used in aramaic for God. Aramaic was supposedly the language used by Jesus. It is often translated as Ellah, but both Allah in Akkadian and Arabic and Ellah in Aramaic transliteration are pronounced the same as "Uhllah".

In Ancient Persia, "A" was known as Ahura Mazda meaning "Wise Lord". Originally, the Zoroastrian religion was strictly monotheistic, and Ahura Mazda encompassed everything, and was the only power. Later on other celestial powers were introduced as well as a great adversary Angra Mainyu that conflicted with the power of Ahura Mazda. This was an explanation for the existence of badness for those who wanted to retain that Ahura Mazda did not harm. It was still explained as a split within the one ultimate original. The oldest Zoroastrian scriptures indicate a pure monotheism where Ahura Mazda is the absolute God in control of everything.

But "A" is in control of all that we interpret as good and bad, and is ultimately the only that can truly decide or define what is really what, thus "A" is the only true judge and sovereign master or king.

In Han China "A" was known as Shangdi which means "Above Sovereign". It was only later that other celestials were introduced into the cosmology of the Han Chinese religious system.

The method of worship in the ancient world was also usually the same, basically humbling oneself, bowing, prostrating, showing reverence in respect, making appeals, praising the attributes of "A" both out of love and awe as well as in the hope of personal gain and protection.

"Chaos" in some Ancient Greek thinking, was the state before the existence of things from which all the firsts things came. "A" would be cognate to "Chaos" as well as anything that has the qualities and attributes of "A". I'm using the letter "A" because the term "God" is often loaded with assumptions and ideas. People imagine certain things, which might be ridiculous, and then attack those ideas they themselves thought of, assuming that is the only idea of "God" there is.

"A" is my only God. The Ultimate and all powerful, the all knowing. Even if there was no such thing, and even if there some lesser thing, I would always claim the same for "A". Anything that matches the definition of what I've defined as "A" is just another word used to indicate the same thing. It is about the definition rather than the words.

I think that God's power can not be measured, but God has the only power. An infinite can't be measured because it has no beginning and no end, so there is no way to define it, it is boundless. I do believe God is infinite and has no constraints, but all is encompassed by God.

I believe the world religions actually agree with each other on most points. My only religion is the strictest form of monotheism, that accepts no other powers besides God alone. I may be wrong, but my vote is on that, covering the essential bases of all the religions pretty much, though I won't say that there is any other power besides God alone. I believe the old religions are compatible, but I take one in preference to all because I feel it represents a the true essential or "proto" religion, true and pure monotheism and the safest bet.

I agree that it would be annoying to get confused by other religions or have to accept all the other doctrines, so I believe I've chosen the one that best protects a person in the most dangerous possible afterlife scenario and covers all the bases of the other religion's scenarios as well generally (though they seem less dangerous).

Hi, you can look up the Akkadian information here: http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....dex_en.php

and the Egyptian information about the practical monotheism of Amun in wikipedia among other places that also understood it as that.

The Akkadian language is most closely related to Arabic, and Aramaic is a sister language to Arabic as well, but only Arabic has retained the majority of the sounds and roots, you can look that up as well.

I'm sorry if we disagree. The root of Allah is not "Above" as in upwards. Here you can see:

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....anguage=id

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....anguage=id

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....awakkadian

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....anguage=id

That is for Allah. The Alla part is the root.

illu is most similar to the Arabic Illah.

Akkadian is an early semitic language.

Hebrew also retains similarities to Arabic.

For example the website linked about talks about the word "kadosh" meaning holy in hebrew, while quddus (kuhdoos) is Arabic for holy.

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....anguage=id

Above is the Akkadian.

Another good example is the Arabic Salam with the root slm, which is the root in all the semitic languages meaning peace.

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....anguage=id

http://www.premiumwanadoo.com/cuneiform....awakkadian

Arabic is the closest to the most ancient forms of semitic language.

About Amun "The Hidden":

http://www.egypt-tehuti.org/articles/mon...heism.html

http://www.cedarseed.com/air/monoegypt.html

Basically, I selected Amun as the God because the term meant "Hidden" and Amun-Ra seems to have meant "The hidden and the manifest".

Hinduism for example is understood to be monotheistic, even though it has so many different Gods which are thought to be descriptive attributes of the one God.

Similarly, I think ancient egyptian religion was like this as well. The different Gods seem to have been names and descriptive attributes of the function of the one God. Usually the gods in some versions had pairs, but these pairs seem to have meant the feminine and masculine qualities of those powers. So if there was like a water god and his pair, it would represent the two forms or qualities of water, calm and not calm for example, but probably more than that. They tried to compact the as much information into the pictures as possible through symbolism.

Amun was essentially understood to be everywhere and invisible. Some thought that he was associated with the air because of this (but that is Shu who is the actual air). Everything was personified in Egyptian religion, so it was almost like african animism in its most sophisticated form.

Here is some more about Amun:

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
But if you don't mind, I can show you which posts I wanted you to look over here.

I will put it in an order where I attempt to explain some of what I think may be the essentials in introducing potential understanding for those who deny "God" but are really finding such a thing easy due to their association of the term "God" with something that they have conceived of in terms which are easy for them to reject.
_____

I don't agree potentially with what some people relate to the word "God".

But I think it will be easy to understand this basic idea:

Nothing doesn't exist, clearly there is something right now, whatever it may be.

If nothing ever existed in a pure form, there wouldn't be anything at all because nothing can't do anything.

There was never nothing, there was always something. But something can't do anything by itself either if it is dead or non active.

There was an activator and there is an active animator that actively animates all existence, and all existence depends on it for activity. This is not some man in the clouds or something with a form, it is essentially what manifests and activates anything, allows for anything to happen, if there was ever nothing or close to nothing, there would be this infinite activator in the image of nothing, that is able to be the basis that manifested the original concept of the big bang, the laws relating to it and how it would work, manifested all the material ingredients for it, animated the activity of its expansion and continues to animate every event. This is the ultimate thing, which we can call "A" if we are shy about calling it God. Whatever "A" manifests and animates, happens, there is essentially no mover other than "A" and no way for anything to happen without "A".

"A" created Atom and is the basis on which Atom relies in order to exist.

Nothing can move or happen without "A". "A" encompasses everything, but nothing encompasses "A" at all, essentially "A" is all there is and ever was. If "A" ceases to exist, and nothing comes, there can be nothing ever again, because nothing can't do anything, and nothing is only nothing. Things can't just spontaneously arise when no rules are provided for it as a possibility, and possibilities can't spontaneously arise until the possibilities are themselves animated and living.

So it leaves us with only the possibility for an ever existing manifestor of everything absolutely and no time outside of it, it is just all there is.

Someone said: "some people take the word 'god' and replace it with 'science'. no different than 'krisna' or 'the giant spaghetti monster'"

Quite different in some ways possibly.

God has been variously defined.

Science has been variously defined.

Krishna has been variously defined and understood.

The Giant Spaghetti Monster has been defined differently than these things.

One could say each of these has a "form" or relates to "forms". Forms are items of "knowledge" or "knowledges", in the sense that they represent information.

What I would call the Ultimate God is whatever encompasses all knowledge and knowledges, potential forms and information or the capacity for whatever, while not being encompassed (contained completely) by any knowledge, forms, informations, or whatever else. That the Ultimate and All Powerful encompasses everything while is not encompassed by anything.

That the Ultimate and All Powerful is the basis on which everything relies in order to exist, is what animates everything, what activates anything, manifests the concepts originally, and is what encompasses all forms and knowledges including any Spaghetti Monsters if they exist. If it has a form, it is encompassed by the form, it is contained within a knowledge, and encompassed by reality. I consider the Ultimate to encompass all realities, to be provide the only realities possible, while not being encompassed by anything at all, being infinite and unlimited, the only thing that always was.

This is because if there was ever nothing, there would still be nothing at all, since nothing is nothing at all and can't do anything.

If it was not "living" or "active", "animated" nothing would have been able to start or move or continue to move or exist.

But there is "something" that we are experiencing right now, even if we don't know what it is for certain, and it is "animated" as its frequently moving and changing. So there is "Something", it is "Animated", and "Living" in the sense that something dead also can't do anything at all so couldn't animate or start anything. Whatever is animating and supporting everything, initially manifested the complex laws that determine how things work, and possibilities that could possibly happen and their possible results, and continues to exist and support everything's existence, is what I would call God the Ultimate or the Ultimate God, who I also consider the only, because if something had the exact same qualities of ultimateness and infinity and all that, it would be the same thing being described no matter what name or term is designated for it.

Only this, which we can also call "A", has any and all power, as it is able to activate and animate things, while being the only thing that essentially exists, because there could never be a point where there was ever truly nothing, because only nothing can come from nothing, and nothing can't do or support anything. So there was not nothing, but only "A" in the image of nothing, that can manifest anything, and is what encompasses us, while we can't encompass it (in a knowledge, form, piece of information).
_____

Someone said: "No we all come from God. Every SINGLE atom was directly and personally created by God."

There are ways you can try to explain this. Can you check if what I have written throughout this thread works for you?

Many people associate the word "God" with the image of a humanoid being encompassed by a form that magically exists in some realm and other things which make it easy to deny the idea they created as an absurdity.

In some cases, the concept may have to be carefully described so that people can better understand what it means, and how it doesn't mean what they might be imagining.

People can easily reject your statement due to their idea of what you mean by the word God. They can just say "no" or "prove it" or "show me".

So one may better bring people to a potentialy understanding by explaining carefully why and how and what could have been and could not be, based on what is now.

It may seem impossible, but that is why I would like you to read my posts to see if you agree enough to also adopt a similar approach to bringing people to potential understanding.
_____
Someone said: "who or what created your activator/animator?"

Perhaps it seems easy for you to say that, since you're still possibly thinking of some kind of formed being. You might want to read my posts in this thread more carefully to see my explanation on why and how I'm trying to describe an essential.

If you say what created the creator or what manifested the manifestor, you go into what called "infinite regress", and it just goes on forever like that and isn't a requirement, since you can just end up with the ultimate and start with the essential qualities. You can look up the term infinite regress, it is a philosophical term. But please read my posts here very carefully, and you'll see perhaps why it isn't so easy to just say that.
_____
So how is infinite regress more simple than the active force being the only thing that exists essentially? Infinite regress could be represented as infinite numbers, while the other represented by 1. The 1 would probably be more simple than the infinite regress of 1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 etc.

Somone said: "The Big Bag theory: Everything, all matter, created itself out of nothing. OUT OF NOTHING! Is there seriously someone who bought that lie?"

Nothing can't do anything, it is nothing, nothing means nothing, it can't do anything at all. It can't contain anything at all, it can't produce anything at all, it can't support anything at all. Nothing can only produce nothing because it is nothing. If nothing ever existed, there would still be nothing.

But there is clearly "something" whatever it may be, as we are witnessing it right now, and it is very complex seeming at least. So if there was ever anything like nothing, it wasn't pure nothing, but something that could manifest, support, activate, and continue to animate the laws, possibilities, and actualities of the Universe.

Essentially we are encompassed by whatever that is in the ultimate form, the universe being what we seem to exist within but is ultimate encompassed by the ultimate reality that has the qualities described as being witnessed now.
_____
Someone said: "It happened because if couldn't happen any other way."

Please consider that you might not know what other ways it could have happened. To say that may also be to say that our experiences couldn't have been different. I can imagine many possibilities of how it could have happened, so I don't know if your statement is true at all.

What you seem to be saying is:

Because things are the way they are, they couldn't have happened any other way.

I'm saying:

Because things are the way they are, it doesn't mean it couldn't have happened in another way.
_____
Someone said: "I am my own God. I am all powerful, and so is every other human being."

I don't know if you define power as the ability to seem to do a few things.

It is easy to figure out if you are what you think you may be or are "all" powerful.

You can, for example, change the course and position of the sun while protecting all our lives, or blacken it for all to see at will, or any number of other experiments to prove you are all powerful. I'm afraid you're not "all" powerful at least.

But do you have any power? You may think you do, but it may not be able to be determined without doubt, and there is always a potential for extreme delusion.

I don't doubt the possibility that an individual can convince themselves and even personally witness proof to themselves of their amazing capacities (perhaps through a dream or a hallucination?). But one might argue this could potentially be your imagination and not real.

Even so, despite that, can you really do anything at all to prove you are "powerful" let alone "all powerful"?

Perhaps you may convince yourself a display of your power is your ability to pick up a pencil. Very good.

But can you do something major too? I don't think so probably. But it might be worth trying, it should be easy for you if you can do it. If you find you can, you should also save everyone on Earth from harm and pain and trouble instantly. Thanks!

Someone said: "That is also true. Here's an example for you. If I'm diagnosed with cervical cancer and I have a 95% chance of death and a 5% chance of surviving. We are that 5%. But what people try to do when let's say they survive and don't die of cancer, they say it's the work of God. Just with the universe. We are that 5% and religitards say it's the work of God.
No difference at all."

That is a rather disturbing example, thank you though!

Your example didn't seem to make too much sense to me, I'm sorry, I might need shrooms perhaps in order to understand? Let me try to break it down if I can though.

If you are told you have a sickness, and what you are told is also definitely true, then there is no way that it is not true.

But if you are told something, there is no way for you to know if it is true or not for certain, and so we're left with the possibility that there may be other possibilities than what you were told is true.

You say that "We are whatever percentage would have survived" but you don't know that at all and have no way of measuring that even. Think about it seriously, how can you know out of infinite possibilities how many possibilities don't exist? You can't, since an infinite does not provide a way to measure anything, if you know what an infinite is.

Did you even read all my posts in your thread?

How does it benefit you, in your theory of "oneness of atom and all" to call some "religitards". If all is one, why would you insult a part of yourself? If you are God as you have claimed, why do you think they are religitards? Because they claim that they have come into existence, while you haven't created them so they are lying?

You said "No difference at all" as if you are very sure of something? Can you accept the possibility that "there could be a difference I haven't thought of"? If you can't, might you be similar to a religitard in your fanatical belief that you know the truth, if you are so sure that you do, just like they are sure they do?
_____
Someone said: "Lmao, squares like you don't deserve to take shrooms or any psychedelic drug for that matter. You're not wanted in this topic of discussion, religitard."

Am I square for believing that you can accomplish the same or better things as you do using chemically induced states, more naturally and without relying on chemicals?

I don't appreciate being called names, do you think that is much different from the behavior of Christians who might think badly of others who don't follow their beliefs and call them names?
_____

Someone said: "Who said anything about not liking them? You obviously don't understand the concept of what it means. It's division amongst the human race."

Calling one a religitard is the what I call religious folks whose faith is unconquerable, in which I do not attempt to even try. You're open to your opinion to not like anything I post, but doesn't mean I'm going to stop."

Oh, I just thought you might also consider it potentially a disrespectful thing to call people, especially when they don't want to be considered that. I'm sorry if I misinterpreted or misrepresented your meaning of the term "religitard" and felt that it was a hostile term.

Would you like a person to say something you felt was insulting towards you, or make claims about you that may be untrue? You may not like it, but would you give it a try perhaps, in suggesting that they might better communicate if less insulting?

I'm sorry that it seems I "obviously don't understand the concept of what" your threads or terms mean at any point.

If your problem is division among the human race, I may understand what you mean or relate to the concept you are communicating. But who has the right to take away people's culture, language, individuality and decide which is the Universal culture for all people? Who is to decide which beliefs are right, which are to be destroyed, which languages are unworthy?

I took your threads and ideas so seriously that I actually considered the implications of what you were saying. I hope you find that action utterly respectful, as many might not have actually thought about what you say or are suggesting, while I hope that I have.

I think you might be assuming things about me that are making you feel uncomfortable with seeing me in a positive light. I hope this isn't the case though. But by calling me "square", "religitard", and assuming that I "obviously" don't know things, you may be guessing things about me that may not be accurate and creating potential difficulty towards our communicating on a friendly level so as to focus on the ideas presented rather than the people presenting them.
______

Another thread presented the question: "Does God know everything before it happens?"

Someone said: "Does God know everything before it happens?
He times the seasons, calculates the orbits of planets but.... everything else too?"

Can I try to give you an answer? I don't know what God knows or doesn't know, what God does or doesn't do for certain, and I don't think anyone can know for certain. I believe that God does whatever God does, and that God is whatever God is.

Despite not knowing anything about God for certain. I claim and believe and want to believe and want to claim that God is the ultimate and all powerful. God can do whatever God wants, and God is what provides for the existence of every possible event and has created even the possibility of it's existence in the first place and animated it when its active.

I don't know if there is time at all, multiple dimensions, or any of that stuff. I suppose it might be best not to claim there is this or that beyond just that there is God alone, God the ultimate, God the all powerful.

I don't know if there is a "before it happens".

Does it really matter one way or another, if we have free will or not, are controlled by God or not? I believe God can do whatever and nobody would be able to stop God no matter what God did. God is without restrictions. Even if God had restrictions I would never claim it.

If all your actions were determined or not, I don't think it would matter. You should try, if you can (being controlled or not) what you are able to do, that you think will benefit you. I believe what will benefit you is the worship and devotion to God alone as the ultimate and only.

Though it may be important to question the nature of reality, I don't think any answer can be verified with certainty, all our assumptions and experiences may be deceptive delusions. So why worry really about what is definitely the case if it is impossible to know for sure?

From what I can tell, something exists. If nothing exists, nothing would still exist, because nothing means nothing at all, and can't produce anything or have anything come into existence. But clearly something exists, in some way. I don't know what it is for certain, if things are divided or whole, same or different. I believe that God created everything, so that when, if there ever was nothing, there was only God, so not actually nothing. God is in the image of nothing at all, but encompasses everything, while no form, knowledge, information, can encompass God. God is infinite, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and whatever great omnis there may be to describe the ultimateness and ultimate power of God.

So I believe "something" exists, and nothing doesn't exist because clearly something exists. But because nothing can't produce anything or animate anything, that God is what existed and is essentially the only thing that exists and has ever existed and animates everything and creates it and decides everything about it. God decides what is and what isn't, what can be, what will be, and whatever else. God also is the only one who can judge what is what, define what is good and evil, and can be however or do whatever God wants to do, and can't be stopped.

God's decisons can all be changed by God at any time, and so can God's creation, and God can also destroy it in such a way that it does not exist, and never did.

God controls "time" if "time" exists, nothing is beyond God, everything is encompassed by God, and God has all the power and control.

Knowing that, why not surrender to the ultimate God alone? Worship that God and ask for help? God can answer, or God might not, but if God does or doesn't answer is up to God, but God is the only one who could help if there is any who can. God the ultimate, is the only God, and can do whatever God wants, no one is to say what God can't do, because no one really knows, and I don't even know what God can or can't do, but I hope to always claim the greatest and loftiest things about God despite if it is true or not. I believe it is the truth, but only God knows!

It seems that people can at most only believe things, and even believe they know things, but I think it is dangerous to be sure you know things, when it seems nothing can be known for certain but only claimed as certain truth.

Someone said: "AH! But free will itself is a sham - a HOAX!
It's the ULTIMATE catch-22. Only the universes grestest most insufferable ego could even conceive of such a simple yet dastardly cruel taunt."

Someone said: "Hmmm no I haven't heard of anyone providing evidence that they regretted not taking out an insurance policy by believing in some random invisible god after dying.Besides if that is the reason you go for Christianity then why aren't you a Muslim? Hindu? Zorasterist? etc. etc."

If something had all power, or even some power over you and what happens to you, could you stop it in relation to anything it is in control of?

What if there is a God, who is even greater than some of what people imagine, who had all power and can do whatever God wants. Just in case the claims are true, wouldn't you try to save yourself?

Because it wouldn't matter if God is evil according to you, or good according to you, or loving according to you, or hateful according to you, but rather that God can do whatever God can do, and God will do whatever God does, and so you should do what you can do, if you can do anything, to secure benefit for yourself in order to protect yourself, like a future investment, a security.

If there is no God, no heaven, or hell, no ressurection, or life after death, so be it. But if there is, and you had a chance to prepare, and wasted it on thinking God is some imaginary man or is evil, and didn't do what you could've done to secure benefit yourself later, that might be sad.

Yes, there may be a real threat of hell. It doesn't matter if a "good God wouldn't do that" or whatever, because God can decide what is good or bad or neutral or is or isn't and it doesn't even matter anyway. At least you can try! If it doesn't work out, so what, but at least you tried!

But how do we know what to try?

I think the safest bet is to claim God is ultimate, even if God isn't, and to say all the best things about God, even if it is out of fear of God or potential punishment, and to worship God and ask for help from the ultimate God alone. I believe the best way is to also give charity, be nice to people, and all that typical stuff.

Why? What if that doesn't count for anything?

If it doesn't count for anything, you at least tried.

But how do I know what religious system is true? You don't know which religious system is definitely true, and never can, even if everything one says seems to come true in this life or the next. What matters is to protect yourself where it counts.

How do I figure out where it counts?

You can look at all the religions and focus on their consequences.

Hinduism seems to indicate you infinitely reincarnate no matter what. But you may reincarnate in some harmful incarnations but may also eventually come out of it and ascend up to more pleasant levels of incarnation.

Hinduism suggests the same kind of good deeds to do, but following it isn't important if it is true, because even if you don't follow it, you'll just reincarnate if its true and have another chance.

That explains how you can think of the system to determine what is the safest bet. Take the best things from hinduism that don't interfere with the other religions, but realize that it isn't even important to follow because the consequences aren't so dangerous and can be escaped. It isn't so risky that one must follow it in order to save itself if its claims are true.

Buddhism's goal is to achieve an eternal state of Nirvana and cease to continue existence in the cycle of "change and suffering". One achieves this in approximately the same way as Hinduism suggests bring good incarnations and the other religions suggest bring paradise.

But if one does not achieve Nirvana, they either break into for aggregates that recombine at another time, or they achieve some incarnation later and have infinite chances to reach Nirvana. So if Buddhism is true, it doesn't need to be followed because one has potentially infinite chances. The parts of Buddhism that don't conflict with the other religions can be followed.

Next is Judaism. The monotheistic God seems to determine everything, no matter how weak some scriptures may seem to depict God. The consequences, according to many modern Jewish sources from different factions of the religion, claim everything from a Kingdom of God, to non existence.

Next is Christianity. They claim a trinity which could be justified by other religions, but also considered a terrible blasphemy by many. There are a variety of claims by different groups about the nature of hell and heaven, but punishment and reward seems to exist in some form at least and should be prepared against by good deeds if possible and worshipping and adoring the one God alone.

Islam (Surrender to God alone), considered by some to be the strictest monotheism in existence, claims that there is definite hell and paradise in a physical world to come, and that God judges who goes where. God is the all powerful, and has suggested one does good deeds and worships God regularly during their lifetime and before they die in order to prepare for an eventual Judgment day where that will be the determining factor of where we are placed.

The Qur'an has the strictest and most clear form of reward and punishment, and does not conflict with much of the behaviors and teachings of Monotheistic Hinduism (ideas of Brahman in Vedic scriptures). With the suggestions of Buddhism, with many of the laws of Judaism, with the principles presented by Christianity, and is the safest religion to follow due to these reasons and potentially more, since it has the strictest consequences if its true.

If Hinduism is true, and you followed Islam, you were like the strictest devotee of the one Brahman, a saint by some Hindu standards. Are probably likely to incarnate beneficially.

If Buddhism is true, you followed many of the policies of Buddhism, and may even attain Nirvana in the process of following Islam, or potentially at least gain a better incarnation, since the eightfold path policies seem to be contained largely in Islam as well.

If Judaism is true, you worshipped the one and only ultimate God, the same God that the Jewish people were familiar with, and even followed many of the same laws and commandments, and were strictly monotheistic. If Judaism is true, you're likely to be rewarded by the great God for your sincere devotion to God alone. Some Jewish people perform worship 3 times a day, muslims perform worship 5 times a day and you can worship as much as you want, but that is just an example of covering even more bases in some ways.

Also the Qur'an, which is the book that teaches about Islam and how to do it (the word is a verb, an action), has many of the same stories as those in the Bible while not saying things that are as potentially displeasing as those found in the Bible, all the Prophets seem very soft hearted and gentle and extremely good in the Qur'an, for example there is no mention of Noah ever drunk or naked and generationally cursing people, there are no generational curses at all, but that everyone is responsible for themselves and carries their own burden but can ask for forgiveness directly from God and also do good deeds to try to reverse any bad one might have done. The Qur'an seems very reasonable in many ways, and presents a God that is both reasonable and all powerful.

If Christianity is true, Islam is the only other religion that specifically says that Jesus was the messenger of God, supported by the holy spirt, who was created by a miracle and born of the virgin Mary who it also claims was one of the best and most righteous person. Many in Jewish religion, often thought most close to Christianity, deny that Jesus was anyone special at all.

The Qur'an is the only other religion it seems, that considers Jesus the Messiah (annointed one), and one that was surrendered to the will of God (the meaning of Islam).

The Qur'an strictly denies the division of God into three, denies that Jesus or his Mother were Gods (because there is no God other than God), and denies that Jesus was the literally begotten(biologically related?) baby of God. God explains that Adam was also created without a father.

It should be interesting to note that the word used in the New Testament for son is pais, which also means "servant" "minister" rather than son or child. So instead of the literal Son of Man, and Son of God, Jesus would have been the Servant of Man, the Servant of God according to the word used. The word for father used is also the word for Master and is the term of one who is the master of a servant.

It is likely that if Christianity is true, those who were devoutly devoted to the God in a state of Islam, who followed Jesus but strictly worshipped God alone, will be forgiven and accepted into heaven for being the devotees of the one God who would hopefully be merciful to them for being careful about what claims they made and praising only God the ultimate and all powerful alone and worshipping him constantly, while also doing good deeds and following many of the principles mentioned in the New Testament.

So if Islam is true, everyone will be judged by God and their placement in paradise or punishment will be decided by God. Those who did good, and worshipped God alone, will get their rewards, and those who did less than good, and worshipped others besides God the ultimate, will have their placement determined by the same God.

If any of the other religions are true, Islam covered them in the most important seeming ways, and one is likely to succeed by their standards according to Islam.

The Islam presented in the Qur'an seems to be the safest form of religion to follow, to cover as many bases as possible, while making sure that in case the terrible punishment of hell is true, one tried their best to avoid it by the most standards.

For example, the doctrine of trinity might conflict with Brahmanic Monotheism, Buddhism, Judaism, Sihkism, Islam, and many other belief systems, and so it is risky by most standards to choose that as there is no way to determine if it is really true or not, but is risky to accept as true if the other religions might be true.

Someone said: "How can he do that? Is the universe a pre written script that God can access and look up a page that specifies what so and so will do at a specific hour, min, and second? Who wrote the script?"

Could you respond to the things I've written here please? How would anyone know for certain what God does if God does it and how God does it? By asking these things of people, you might be encouraging they boldly speak things that might be in error, and not even you know for certain how or what happens.

Shouldn't we be more careful? Or are we certain we know what is and how it works, or can be? I don't think anything can prove indefinitely what is true or not, because God encompasses all knowledge, while no knowledge may encompass God. Does God share this sort of knowledge and information with people? If God did, would we know it for certain? Does it even matter?

I'd like to know what you think of the other things I've written in your thread so far as well.

Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

God can be whatever God is, and your opinions of God wouldn't matter. Just because things are the way they are and you call it flawed, doesn't mean that you are in a position to decide what is flawed or not really, nor that you could know for certain what is flawed or not.

God can decide the definition of any terms such as "good" and "evil" and switch them or do whatever God wants. It doesn't matter what you think of God or God's actions if God has all the power.

If God is willing to prevent what you call evil, and doesn't God has not prevented what you call evil according to you. If God did or didn't wouldn't mean much about God other than what you come to think about God.

God can do anything God wants anytime, and would your arguments count against God? If God says something is harmful, and something is good, or gives you harm or gives you benefit, God does whatever God wants, all you can do is request and hope for the best.

Why call God, God? Because the Ultimate and All Powerful manifestor, activator, encomapsser, animator of everything is the only with all the power to truly harm or benefit you in the ultimate sense. God as the Ultimate who can do whatever God wants and is unstoppable.

_____
Someone said: "greater than infinite. eternity to complete, **problem problem !! **"

He might need you to elaborate, but I'm so happy you are pointing these things out.

The definition of infinite seems to mean "goes on forever, has no limitations, nothing can be greater or longer or larger" because it has no end and so no way to measure it or contain it, even in a representative piece of information. Anything that has a begining and an end, or a form, is not infinite. You can figure out ways to mark parts of it based on the beginning or the end of it or other things about it.

Eternity means to go on forever generally, and so it never completes, and if it completes it wasn't an eternity, but finite (not infinite) term of time.

An eternity can have a start point and go on forever afterwards, but if it ever stops after it starts, it isn't an eternity or wasn't.
_____
Someone said: "Eternity from a finite perspective. Because there is change and newness in the realm of finite, there is so very much available in all of spacetime, which is infinite. The great paradox of infinite finite causes quite the headache. Hence the problem with human language."

I don't think there is so much of a problem with human language related to these concepts.

All words used in your sentence are in of themselves a combination of symbols that are arbitrary and mean nothing. Each of the symbols (letters) is defined as indicating the use of a certain type of sound in English (and other languages use these symbols too, sometimes differently).

These symbols combined form combined sounds called "words". Words, which are combinations of sounds, are also arbitrary and mean nothing by themselves, but are meant to represent or in some way replace and induce in the imagination representations of objects, and then even concepts.

Words usually have definitions, but some have alternate understandings of words. If one understands a word differently than another and defines it differently internally, it may cause problems in communication.

There are objects called dictionaries that provide definitions of words commonly accepted.

In the dictionary, eternity means never ending. If you say eternity ends, then it isn't an eternity, but will have a different word or combinations of word to represent what you are attempting to indicate.

A term of time that starts but never stops can be an eternity, and a term of time that never started and never stops can be an eternity. The words eternity and infinite can have a related understanding. Something infinite can start and never stop, or never have started and never will stop in relation to time.

Infinite space would go in all directions and never end. If it ended it would be limited space, because limited means finite, that it has an ending.

Something that begins and ends, can have internal measurements. The measurements are not real, but just a way people can apply things to understand or indicate things to people.

A ruler can represent a finite object, or a finite length of time. The word finite can be exchanged with limited.

There is no way for you to know for certain if "spacetime" is infinite, unless the definition of whatever you are calling "spacetime" is infinite. If you mean the expanse of the Universe, you might be interested to learn most scientists understand the Universe to be finite, rather than infinite.

I've discussed what I consider "infinite" and having other qualities and why. You might find information on that in my other posts on this thread.

I hope this discourse has assisted you in every way possible.

_____
Someone said: "we are talking unmeasurable still right? define a 'point' without measurement? or 'perspective'. niiiice"

The reason I included the mention of a start point, is because you can start an event that lasts forever afterwards. You can look up this possibility. For example, in a calculator you can trigger an infinite. That is just one example of this possibility represented in mathematics.

All measurements are arbitrary, but that doesn't mean things can't start and last forever as one of the possibilities. I hope that you consider things very carefully, and realize what I am attempting to explain.

Thank you for your question.

By another standard, you could measure when an infinite is started. For example how you might type in an equation in a calculator that leads to an infinite series of numbers and look at the clock to see when it started, meaning just prior you had not typed that in.

Sorry if that wasn't clear enough, hope you understand.
_____
Someone said: "Yes, what I´ve learnt with time there are too much semantic problems responsible for people getting stuck but in their own opinions. Because of wrong semantics no consensus can be reached most of the time."

In those cases it might be important to freshly start defining things using terms which are not already "loaded".

For example, by using symbols such as letters to name terms and then to freshly define what those symbols are meant to represent or indicate.

For example I may have used the term "A" somewhere in this thread and defined what "A" is meant to mean and what qualities it is meant to encompass or include.
_____
You might need to understand that we are defining terms related to potentially abstract concepts, so the "human view" (which is the only view we can have, since we are humans), doesn't matter in relation to terms we are defining.

So if we say "X" means something that starts but never stops. That is what "X" is meant to mean. If "X" is applied to a donut, isn't the point so much as if "X" is not defined (in this context) as "something that starts and never stops" and then if someone says "A donut starts but never stops" then donut has the same definition of "X" and might not even relate to the prior definition we had of donut, until someone says "I ate the donut" and because it ceases to be or is "stopped" it no longer fits the definition of "X".
_____
Someone said: "So what are you saying? How do we measure without the human perspective?"

I was attempting to imply or indicate the possibility that "God's truth" can not be distinguished with any certainty by human beings, meaning they can't know which is the truth or not in any sure way, and so should carefully consider and possibly choose the less risky options.
_____
Someone said: "1 - this is a great thread. 2 - the terms we are defining are above humanity. we are but one bit of this uni. i agree. 3 - lets delete this human variable, eh? "You might need to understand" "So if we say "X" means something" "if someone says 'A donut starts'" wordsmiths unite!"

I'm sorry if the terms "you", "we", and "someone" are disturbing to you. What if it was alright to be defined as individuals who due to our individuality are allowed to show one another love, despite the potential sameness we may or may not be part of?

You had some issues with the following sentences:
"You might need to understand"
"So if we say "X" means something"
"if someone says 'A donut starts'"

I can restate them for you with the deletions you requested:

"There may need to be an understanding"
"So if it is said "X" means something"
"If it was said "A donut starts".

If you chose the path of a form of Christianity that claims that God is a trinity, or that Jesus is the literal begotten son of God, that God was incarnate on Earth, was crucified so that his blood could redeem sins, that God is in a limited form in the literal image of a human being, you may be risking issues from the perspective of the other religions.

If you believed in the trinity, or that Jesus is the literal begotten son of God, or that God has a likeness, you may be going against principles in Judaism, higher standards in Brahman Hinduism, and totally against Islam.

Judaism believes that God is one, but provided the framework for later Christianity, though if Jesus is not the son of God, this may be greatly insulting to the God proposed by Judaism.

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
You would also be directly in trouble with Islam that strictly claims God is one, not to say that God is three or in a trinity, that God has no likeness, that Jesus was the Prophet of God, created by God, but was not the son of God, nor that God has any sons or daughters but that God is the creator of all and everything.

That God is not a father nor has a consort (wife) or children, because God is not a human or a creation. The Qur'an also says that Jesus was not crucified, and that there are no incarnations of God, that there is no such thing as a blood sacrifice to redeem everyone of their sins, that Jesus was not God, and other things like that.

The Qur'an and Islam do agree with many things presented in the New Testament, but can not agree with statements like those mentioned above and perhaps others.

So Christianity would not be safe by many Jewish and Islamic standards. Buddhism and strict accordance to the Vedas would also reject some Christian notions or statements.

So according to that method I described it would not be the strongest choice or safest choice in case any other religions are true.

According to to Christianity, what qualifies you to be in the Kingdom of God seems to vary depending on the various Christian groups that say various things. Many would say the most basic principle is that Jesus died in order to clear mankind of sin, though some who claim to be Christian may even disagree about that.

I don't personally believe that God needs any process to forgive, rather that God can do whatever God wants and it is accomplished. So God can instantly forgive anyone or everyone without a required process or any requirements, because I believe God is without any needs or restrictions.

My personal stance is the ultimateness of God. If God is less than ultimate, I would not recognize that God unless that God had the power to make me certain that it was God, otherwise I only believe in the Ultimate God.

I believe God can do whatever God wants to do and nothing can stop God.

I don't know how you understood the line "God can command whatever God wants" to relate to the sentence "I can say anything I want".

I believe you can only say what God allows you to say ultimately, and what God has provided the possibility for you to say.

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
Re: (OFFICIAL) JESUS: Who is Jesus? Please comment!

[I understand what I've written below might seem long! If you can't read it, please skim and comment! Thank you!]

Hi there! What do you think about this? Feel free to comment no matter the length of this thread!

Jesus is a figure believed in around the world, even by those who do not consider him a religious figure!

So what do you believe about Jesus? Some don't even believe he existed at all.

Who is Jesus to you if anything?

________

Below is the original article of this thread:

The word for son and father in Greek are also the words for servant and master. The word for son used in the Bible is pais, which means servant or minister of a King.

Pais pronounced "paheece"

Definition:
a child, boy or girl
infants, children
servant, slave
an attendant, servant, spec. a king's attendant, minister

Since the term is not specific to a male or a female, such as the word son is specific to a male, that seems to indicate the greater and possibly more sensible potential that Jesus was called or considered by some the servant, slave, or minister of God the King and the servant of man.

What do you think?

I don't believe God has literal biological children because God is not a human but the creator and God in the image of nothing, with nothing alike or similar. I don't believe God has a form, but is infinite and encompassing all forms and knowledge within, as well as sustaining, and animating everything.

So at most I could say the term "child of God" is a metaphor meaning "beloved" or "cared for" or any of that rather than being literal.

But I think it is important to understand that in the Ancient world, the idea of a son or child was that of a subordinate to the point of being the same word used for slave or servant.

A Father and a Mother don't really "create" so much as "mate" and produce a child with each other. But it is supposed to be God alone who forms it, decides who that child is, and gives it life, and finally takes the life away.

But God is the King according to most religions, the highest sovereign, and everyone, all creations would be subordinate to God.

It isn't so radical that in the ancient times the term "child" might have been used in relation to Kings such as Jesus or David was meant to be.

In the Akkadian language, which Hebrew is related to and possibly derived from, the term also meant slave and subordinate. The King of an ancient city would usually have made a covenant with the God of the city, which may have been consider an aspect or name of the Great God Alla or Allallu. They would basically state they are servile to the order of things, and that the true King was God alone, so that they could receive favors from the great God.

The Akkadian language is where all semitic languages seem to have come from, but the Akkadian language is most similar to the Arabic language, which is the only semitic language to have all 29 sounds that were part of this early language system and all the same roots it seems.

So even to this day, people believe in Allah, the same God known to the Akkadians.

Aramaic was a major language spoken by the Hebrew people and all around the areas in which they lived, and was supposedly the language spoken primarilly by Jesus as well.

In Aramaic, the term Ellah was used for God since its a language that came from Akkadian and is related to Arabic as well.

You can learn about the Akkadian language here:

[link to http://www.premiumwanadoo.com]

People might be quick to reject the Akkadian language and Arabic without realizing that the Hebrew language was derived from this highly influential world language (Akkadian).

"Jesus, an Aramaic speaker, would naturally use Alaha just as Aramaic speakers do today. It is simply the Aramaic version of the identical Arabic word Allah. “The cognate Aramaic term appears in the Aramaic version of the New Testament, called the Peshitta, as one of the words Jesus used to refer to God, e.g., in the sixth Beatitude, ‘Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see Alaha.’ The Arabic Bible uses the same word in Matt. 5:8, for instance, translated Allah.” [19]

While all this may seem confusing, simply stated and confirmed by Brown, Driver, and Briggs Hebrew Lexicon, El is the root word for God in Hebrew, Elohim; in Aramaic, Alaha; and in Arabic, Allah. Furthermore, they connote the same God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Ishmael. In addition, the prophesied Messiah in Isaiah 9:6 of the Tenach is referred to as El."

"Eventually the seminary students clearly understood the different forms of “the name of God” used in the Holy Books. Hebrew El, Aramaic Alaha and Arabic Allah are identical words derived from the same linguistic root, using the Semitic letters Alef-Lamed-He, pronounced ila. Such names should not be the focus of scorn, or the cause of division and war. The slight modifications among each of the language groupings simply reflect different pronunciations conforming to the historical pattern of cognate shifts in each tongue, not different words. To put it simply, the Latin, Spanish, and Italian words for God (Deus, Dios, and Dio) and the English and German words (God and Gott) all mean the same as do the Semitic Allah, Alaha and Elohim."

No the Muslims are most certainly NOT the children of God. We don't become children of God until after we are adopted through faith in Jesus. Muslims, like anyone else who is not a Christian, is a child of their father Satan. Those are the facts of Scripture.
Quoting: Briarcliffe 1251174

What does it take for Muslims to have faith in Jesus? They do afterall believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary miraculously, and was helped by the Holy Spirit, and performed miracles in the name of God and all that.

Furthermore, Jesus was said to have spoken Aramaic, which is related to Arabic, and the word for God in Aramaic is Ellah and the word for God in Arabic is Allah. The older semitic language was Akkadian, and the word for God there was Allah and had the same roots which were retained in Arabic. They were pronounced the same in all these languages.

Jesus is known as the "pais" of God in Greek, which has been translated by most as son, but can alternatively be translated as servant, minister to a king which is the way the muslims take it. The word huios is used for a literal son, and is never claimed by Jesus himself, while it is used throughout the New Testament to denote his ancestry.

Meanwhile, the way that Jesus worshipped God is recorded in one part of the Bible and it is the way Muslims worship God to this day and the way ancient Jews did as well as ancient Akkadians and people around the world. This style of worship is only retained in Islam.

Furthermore, the standard Muslim greeting is Peace be with you, which is also the way Jesus greeted his disciples.

So what does it take for you to say that they are followers of Jesus who have faith in him and his teachings?

The Muslims deny the trinity, stating instead God is one, and they deny that God has any literal children, but rather that God is the ultimate and all powerful and that Satan is the enemy.

So how are they children of Satan?

They use the word for God that Jesus himself is said to have used due to the closely related language being used.

The oldest version of the word is Allah. It has the root meaning of Beyond, Powerful, One. It is genderless, it represents the ultimate God, you can look at an akkadian lexicon to see that Arabic still retains the roots and sounds most closely.

What about this:

The Greatest Commandment
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.”

32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

Reference to this:

Here ya go ~ 4“Hear, O Yisra’el: our Elohim, is one! 5“And you shall love your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. 6“And these Wordsg which I am com- manding you today shall be in your heart, 7and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up, 8and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9“And you shall write them on the door- posts of your house and on your gates.

(Reply to the Richard Eldritch thread Jesus was an Islam, the term Islam is used rather than Muslim in this case as the thread was meant to be humorous, but the information is serious.)

Yes Jesus was an Islam by definition.

Islam means surrender (to God).

Muslim means one who surrenders to God.

So by definition Jesus was supposed to be an Islam. One whose own will is surrendered so that their will is one with God's will.

But going deeper, Jesus also is depicted as praying like an Islam, cleaning himself like an Islam, greeting people with "Peace be with you" like an Islam, and breaking Jewish tables like an Islam.

Furthermore, Jesus supposedly primarily spoke Aramaic, which is a sister language to Arabic, and both use the word Allah for God, but the transliteration from Aramaic is usually written as Ellah but its the same word.

So Jesus even taught about Allah.

So for all intensive purposes, Jesus was a huge Islam.

Jesus was not a Christian, because he didn't worship Jesus as lord and savior the way Christians do.

Jesus wasn't a Jew, because he didn't "wrestle with God" which is the meaning of Israel.

But Jews are supposed to be Islams also, the earliest versions of them were more similar to Islams than the later or modern ones.

Islam, even though the modern version came later, is actually a redux of a much older religion that existed in ancient Akkad and prior to that, and existed around the world as well, a form of intense monotheism that was decreased during its transformation through Jewish travels and other things.

Islam in its true form, even prior to Muhammed, existed all the way from the Han Empire, to the Brahman sects in Vedic India, to Akkad.

In the Han Empire, they knew God as Shangdi, a singular God originally, who had no image but was worshipped in the same was as Allah, which originally meant "beyond, powerful, one".

Jesus was just one of many Islams in this world full of Islams.

Those who reject the Ultimate and Singular God that encompasses all realities, are not Islams since they are not surrendering to that Ultimate Reality or worshipping it.

_____

Islam is a word that predates Muhammed. It means "surrender" and the extended religious meaning is "Surrender to God" or "Surrender to the will of God".

Jesus was by definition a Muslim "one whose will is surrendered to God" and thus "one whose will is in harmony with God's will"

Jesus worshipped in the muslim fashion, as depicted in the Bible by prostrating himself with his forehead on the ground. He cleaned himself in the muslim fashion as depicted in the Bible by following the procedure of ritual ablution. He greeting people as a muslim does with "peace be with you".

He supposedly spoke Aramaic which was the main language used at the time in that area, in which the word for God is Allah, written as Ellah in english but pronounced the same as Allah which is Uhllah. This is because Aramaic and Arabic are related languages.

The Akkadian language is one of the root languages where semitic languages come from, and Allah is the word for God there too, with the same meaning and implications as the Arabic word which is closest to the Akkadian language and maintaining all the same roots and sounds.

The religion of Islam predates Muhammed and Jesus.

_____

Islams also try to be like Jesus too, and Jesus is a big deal in Islam for Islams.

Islams believe in most of the same things as Christians like the Virgin Birth, but they don't worship Jesus as much as they might emulate Jesus or follow the same practices as Jesus.

_____

Jesus was an Islam by definition. The religion of Islam is older than Muhammed. Islam means surrender (to God).

_____

That would mean God's will is surrendered to God's will. Could be! *wearing fogged scientist goggles from the 13th century and 14th dimension*

Allah is the word for God used in Arabic, and is the oldest semitic word for God, that existed in ancient Akkad where semitic languages seemed to have stemmed from.

Jesus was supposed to have spoken Aramaic, and the word is Ellah in that language, with the same meaning, and pronounced the same as Allah, both are pronounced Uhllah

_____

Jesus had no father! He was born of a mother with no physical human father. That was the miracle.

Whatever Muhammed may be, Islam is not an invention of his, it existed prior to Muhammed who only worked to bring it back.

Islam means surrender (to God) and the intention is to have one's will in harmony with that of God.

Jesus was an Islam!

_____

Islam has always been around by definition it merely means "Surrender (to God)"

There is nothing that inhibits one, such as a portoguese midget, from being an Islam.

_____

You make fun of him so quickly, without realizing that Jesus was not a Christian because he didn't worship Christ (himself).

Islam means "surrender (to God)" and existed before Muhammed. The word also existed before Muhammed.

The word used by Jesus in Aramaic for God was Ellah, pronounced the same as Allah. The oldest word for God in the semitic languages is Allah, even the Akkadians used it with the root meaning of "beyond, powerful, one" and all the roots have retained their meaning in Arabic which is closest to the Akkadian language and related to Aramaic which stemmed from it.

_____

Don't doubt it! Islam existed prior to Muhammed. It means "surrender (to God)". Jesus was supposed to be an Islam!

_____

Are you saying that "surrender (to God)" didn't exist for another 600 years?

That is what you're saying! Islam means "surrender (to God)", Jesus was supposed to be an Islam by definition, with his will in accordance with God's. That is the goal of all Islams and that is Islam! To surrender your will to the will of God alone.

Jesus was not a Christian, he didn't worship Christ!

_____

Islam by definition is older than "Christianity" and "Judaism" combined.
Why? How is that possible?
Because Islam means "surrender (to God)"
The word Allah, is the oldest semitic word for God.
Careful research will bring this all to light!

_____

Do you know what Islam means?
Islam means "surrender (to God)"
It is the oldest religion in the world, and predates Muhammed, Jesus, and the Jews.
The word Allah is the oldest word for God in the semitic languages, and was used by Jesus as Ellah in Aramaic. It is pronounced the same as Allah.
The word Allah can be traced back to the Akkadian language which is most similar to Arabic.
The religion of surrendering, and surrendering to Allah has existed prior to Christianity and Judaism.
It isn't an invention of Muhammed.

_____

I don't think it was really well said, unless she means that Islam predated Jesus by 800 years!

_____

A person can be a Jew and a Muslim! I mean a Jew and an Islam!
Can you believe it!?
_____

They don't understand what the words mean! If they did, they would know he was a musling even if he was a jew!
_____
They probably both agree that Jesus's will was surrendered to God and he was thus one with the will of God.

That is Islam by definition.
_____
Jesus didn't worship Christ, so isn't a Christian by definition probably.

But by definition he was an Islam.
_____
Because Messiah means annointed one, and refers to his role in the lineage of David to be the leader of the B'nei Israel and Prophet of God like David.
Messiah doesn't mean "savior" or "God".
Words are the issue here.
Jesus was an Islam by definition of the word.

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
Also, I've posted this earlier, and it may assist you:

So lets have a little recap here! I'll give some neutral letters for the terms.

A: The ultimate source, what all reality is encompassed by and exists by, the creator of everything from nothing, the originator, the all powerful, the only authority, the ever present, the aware, the sustainer and maintainer of all existence, the formless infinite with no limits which all things depend on constantly. Existed before the universe or "time" and is essentially all that has ever existed and will ever truly exist forever.

C: The things that were created by the creator "A", came forth from, and were manifested by the originator of everything and the infinite all encompassing. This is everything that exists now and is dependent on "A" to exist but did not always exist.

E: All living beings that can communicate and be called "Entities" it includes us as well as Christ Michael and all beings that did not exist forever but were created by and originally came from "A". It should be noted that all "E" are considered "C" but all "C" might not be considered "E". All "C" came from "A".

N: This doesn't exist, it may also be called "Nothing", it is similar in some senses to "A" because it has no form, but it isn't anything and nothing can come from it or exist in it, it has no way to bring forth anything. If there was ever "N" or "Nothing" there would still be "N" or "Nothing".

RE: YOUR CHURCH - COME IN AND SAY A PRAYER..
[Please read the translation of the textual quote below, and skip the original if the capitalizations are disturbing to read]

NOTING!!!!! PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD SINCE YOU WERE SWIMMING AROUND IN YOUR POPS NUT SACK. YOU HAVE COME TO LATE IN THE GAME AND ARE NOT ADVANCING WITH ALL THIS INFO THAT IS REALLY A BUNCH OF OLD RERUNS OF THE SAME SHOW CALLED CONSPIRACY. YOU SEE PEOPLE SPEND TO MUCH TIME ON STUFF THAT THEY CAN'T CHANGE. TRYING TO INFORM OTHERS IS JUST WANT YOUR HANDLERS WANT YOU TO DO. TO FILL YOUR MIND, BODY, AND SOUL WITH CONFUSION SO YOU CAN'T FOCUS ON THE MISSION AT HAND. TO MAKE PEACE WITH THE FACT THAT WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIED SOMEDAY. MAYBE TODAY? MAYBE TOMORROW? MAYBE 12/21/12? WHO KNOWS. BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT WE WHERE WILL PUT HERE TO DO. WE WILL PUT HE TO LIVE AND ENRICH EACH OTHERS LIFE'S. SPREADING EVIL AND NEGATIVE INFO DOES NOT HELP PEOPLE LIVE, IT MAKE'S THEM WEAK AND POWERLESS. SOUNDS LIKE SOME OF YOU HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR THE WRONG SIDE.
Quoting: YOU KNOW NOTING 1235344

Hello! Great post! I'd like to make a non capitalized version for those interested in reading what you have to say.

First, I'd like to point out your user name for the original post which was "You know nothing". I think it is worth meditating on that statement.

Next you said:

Nothing! People have been trying to take over the world since you were swimming around in your father's testacles (or at least partially, as a sperm cell).

You have come too late in the game and you are not advancing by (reading) all this information that is really just a bunch of old reruns (repeated information) of the same show called "Conspiracy".

You see, people spend too much time on stuff that they can't change! (This is a great point by the way, I agree that people shouldn't worry about things they can't do anything about and should work on what they can do things about if they want to get something done)

Trying to inform others is just what your "handelers" (or "groomers" or "controllers" or "manipulators") want you to do. (They want you to waste your time on things you can't do anything about and also spread the information they themselves benefit by having spread around)

They want to fill your mind, body, and soul with confusion so that you can't focus on the real mission at hand! (wow this is excellent! I think you've really understood what might be going on! They want us distracted and feeling helpless by constantly bombarding us with things we can't do anything about, so that we remain confused and distracted by all the variety of things we can't do anything about and don't spend our time doing what we can do things about or are expected to do things about and are able but distracted by the confusion tactics and old information meant to make us feel helpless)

One of our mission objectives is to make peace with the fact that we are all going to die someday (and also possibly to put forth goodness so that we might be less afraid of it, by being kind to people, doing charity, helping out those we can help, caring for people, showing love and respect to those around us, and trying to make sure everyone has a good and happy experience in knowing us and by the way we interact with them)

Maybe you or I will die today? Maybe the next day? Or the day after that? Perhaps even 12/21/12? Who knows!

But (worrying about things we can't do anything about) is not what we were put here to do!

We were put here to live and enrich one another's lives! (By being good to one another, making one another happy, showing care and affection for each other, being warm with each other, having respect for one another, maintaining dignity and treating others with dignity too! To give people hope, to help each other understand the good things and how we can all live well by doing what we can do and not worrying about what we can't do!)

Spreading evil and negative information does not help people live, but rather makes them (feel) weak and powerless. (information that makes people feel helpless since they can't do anything about it. Other things that might attempt to make people feel weak is when people try to hurt one's feelings by attacking them with verbal suggestions, or hurting them physically, or suggesting they should do things that are potentially harmful for them and encouraging it)

It sounds like some of you have been working for the wrong side (and may not have even realized it, or how you might have benefitted the cause of those against human freedom, happiness, and health)
___

Thank you so much for your post! It was so beautiful and well intended! Please feel free to continue to write on GLP and spread your excellent ideas! Please don't be discouraged by how any users treat you here! Please continue to enrich our lives with your beautiful message of hope!

___

I'd like to remind and inform anyone who reads this thread of an idea they might find interesting and possibly motivational.

I believe that all people are representatives of themselves, as well as mankind, and beyond that of whatever belief systems they may follow (traditionally religious or not).

As representatives of ourselves as well as more than ourselves, I believe we should behave in ways that we feel are best, most dignified and respectful towards ourselves as well as others.

I believe that if we act and behave in ways that remind people that decency, respect, and dignity in human behavior and communication is possible, we may encourage others to also behave similarly.

Furthermore, to those who represent various religions, I'd like to remind you all that you are representing those belief systems in your own conduct, and most of them also suggest that you behave in ways that are decent and respectful towards others despite their beliefs.

If we behave crudely, roughly, or violently towards others (despite how anyone treats us, and how others may behave), that this only continues to spread such behavior and promote it.

I suggest that you, whoever you are, be the first and foremost in excellent conduct and behavior, with pristine ethics and kind treatment towards all despite their violence or attacks.

Why should we behave harshly just because those we like or those who dislike participate in such behavior? Should we lose our own dignity if others do not realize how precious the opportunity is to maintain our composure and dignity?

If you wish to teach someone something, no matter what it is, I think that the best way to approach anyone is with kindness, peacefulness, and respect.

We all may falter at times in this regard, but I think that if we remind ourselves and act again according to our principles or the principles we wish to spread, that this will give us that certain good feeling that may come from such behavior.

I'm not asking people to be dishonest, but rather to consider your approach.

Most people believe and understand that the human race is one family, even the violent and criminal among us are still humans, and as those beings have life, so should all beings be treated in the best manner.

This does not mean we have to agree with everyone or believe what they say, but rather I suggest we at least realize their humanity, their equality in ignorance to our own, and that we ourselves should behave in ways that are best seeming to us and act through what conduct we consider truly most excellent.

So people may level accusations against us, our families, our relatives, our religions and belief systems, and any manner of things to goad us into losing our own dignity, but try to combat such behavior with what you feel is most excellent conduct.

I believe the most excellent conduct is respect, kindness, graciousness, appreciation, gentleness, peacefulness, dignity, honesty, caring, and careful speech.

Many others would agree, but may not practice this themselves, and I encourage you all to begin practicing excellent behavior.

Alot of times we may not examine what we say or how it might be hurtful to others, or even how what we say might be hurting ourselves, or how fighting with one another might not benefit us as much as more respectful discourse and dialogue.

I believe that one method in beginning to practice behavior you may consider better is to monitor, pay attention to, and be careful of your own speech and the way you speak it.

People seem to be extremely sensitive to little cues in a person's behavior such as vocal tone, and choice of words.

If we are careful to say things in the best ways, we might end up experiencing a better, more clear conversation, even if individuals are hostile towards us. This may also eventually ease tensions, and even if it doesn't, at least you wouldn't have behaved in a way that you found displeasing, or would have found displeasing if you were on the receiving end.

Why should we focus, as human beings, on hurting one another, rather than trying to make each other laugh and have a good experience all around?

Why not focus on trying to keep things cool and peaceful, to encourage kindness through kind actions and speech?

So I'd like to thank anyone who read this article, and I truly appreciate your taking the time to look into this issue.

I hope that you can see what I am trying to suggest, and I hope that we all follow good advice.

Please feel free to comment with contributing opinions or any questions you might have.

I'd love to hear from you, and also to know if you agree with what I've suggested.

Thanks again!
