Or a series of large belches. No matter what kind of an eruption there would
be trouble for the farms of the Great Plains, the US "breadbasket". There
will probably be a lot of ash thrown up.

in our lifetime, nah.
I couldn't feel comfortable claiming that, and I'll probably live at least
another 30 to 50 years. I didn't expect to see a tsunami like the Boxing
Day quake but we've seen it. The Japan quake tsunami was expected
but not in such a devastating height. Record sized quakes happen about
once every 50 years and the Japan quake last year ranks as a top 3.
As more the planet's population increases we're going to see higher death
rates than ever before. That's just a factor of having more people than
ever before.
So never say never.

These were showing on USGS but have apparently been disappeared. Obviously some duplicates, but worth looking into. Take a look while they're still up:

They have been talking about this on Volcano Cafe. Here is a quote posted on there to the possible cause........
Talla says:
May 1, 2012 at 20:28
"Hi Judith – I think I’ve solved the problem. A search of Google Maps – putting in 44.13N 105.32W, which are the coordinates given by EMSC, puts you slap-bang on top of a huge open-cast mine. As Carl has told us – these mines cause enormous explosions which are usually filtered out by the various monitoring sites – this is why the US site is not showing it. I think EMSC will soon remove it as it is obviously not a ‘real’ seismic event."

RE: Yellowstone 'super-eruption' less super, more frequent than thought
It's fine to keep track of the quakes at Yellowstone, but keep in mind
that about 4 or 5 years ago on TOP people were regularly freaking out
about the quakes claiming that a big eruption was just about to happen.
Look at how that panned out.
