That pesky Nile had a habit of flooding... Siriusly..... Sometimes, over thousands over of years... there was a really big flood.....

I was just messing with ya.. The best and most honest way to get a visual representation is to use Google Earth, you can really capture the grace of the river and get some definite imaging on how and where they would place the pyramids in relation to the river and yes I do agree with you that it did flood for eons at a time, Google earth shows that very specifically, the sands of the desert leave graceful patterns of the rivers flow when it overflowed at its peak level.

You really have to give em credit, they are masterpieces of engineering.

Maybe they are the "arks". Not floating on the water but rising above it.
