here's something i've been writing these past few weeks. it's about my personal view of being apart of the 'fringe'.... (CAUTION: WALL O' TEXT)

How did I gain this mindset? What causes me to question what mainstream perceives to be the truth? Why do I think outside of the box, while the majority of my generation choose to stay in it? While they sit there and think they need to go party all the time, and waste their time, I'm at home expanding my knowledge in more ways than one.

Sometimes if something seems too good to be true, it more than likely is. That is something that many people overlook in this life. Most people, however, choose to be blissful in their ignorance, and believe all they are fed from the news and our world leaders. What they don't see that most here and other places do see, is that most, if not all of that is pre-programmed. If what they are saying isn't a full on lie, it sure isn't the whole truth. So is there a middle ground? Are they just honest liars?

Some people wonder how a young kid like me got to thinking like this, well the answer is bit simple and a bit complicated at the same time. I guess I'm just realistic, and not naive like the majority of my generation is. I can't watch the news without hearing about how the economy is recovering (which it isn't) and how ignored the true injustices of the world are not being covered by the MSM. Most "sheeple" tend to believe that all they see, read, and hear is all 100% accurate and the truth, all without looking deeper into what is being covered. They seem to have programmed themselves to believe that anything coming from the t.v. is real and true, without actually knowing whether it is or not for sure.

Are they lazy? No, but most don't want to see reality for what it is. When people think that their life is going good, that it is good all around the world, they seem to block off all negativity that is actually going on. Is that a bad thing? No, not at all, for life is meant to be enjoyed. BUT, when the holiday from reality is over, we eventually have to go back.

Do I know what's real and true? Do any of us know the truth about anything? I personally don't think so. Our whole reason for existing is apart of a whole debate, which could lead one to live a life or regret and doubt, as well as many unanswered questions. Why do we question anything? What is our purpose in this life? Who can we trust? Can anybody answer these questions?

Some questions in life may never be answered, but we all have a room for growing in knowledge, don't we? I am young, and I know very little of this world, and what little I do know may be wrong and it may take me years to find out the truth about something. But is that a bad thing? It gives us somewhat of a purpose, doesn't it? To find out about things we've never learned before, mysteries of life that can only be found if we look hard enough for them. Generations before mine loved to question and search for answers for most things, why does my generation just do what we're told? Why do we not care about what may really be going on behind the scenes?

I may never know, but i guess that may explain why I am here, to find the truth, and if not the truth, to expand my knowledge. I have learned so much just being on these types of forums alone. If people use the fringe as a bad thing, then I must be a bad person, but it seems the 'fringe' are those who are serving their purpose in life, and that is to find answers to questions we would've never asked ourselves if we never gave anything a second thought.

the search for truth is a lifelong quest, friend, and there are many truths to be discovered along the way.

the fact that you are using your brain for something other than skull filler is commendable. the fact that you are using your heart and soul to share this with others is laudable as well.

the path on which you are travelling can only help to bring you a more fulfilled life. please note that i say fullfilled ... not ecstatic. some truths will be more difficult to handle, some truths will be downright ugly. but as you already understand, it is better to discover the truth in any given situation and more harmful to operate under someone's generated illusion for you.

be well and push forward. you are, in fact, on the right path.

Brandon, my personal advice is edit out your surname in the first post and from under your username.

But it is your life.

Discretion is the better part of valor.

It has nothing to do with the government or the real big baddies. They already can find out who you are.

i don't feel special, and i am a geek. do i go to parties? on occasion, but i don't live my life expecting to party all the time. i'm young, and i know what my priorities are. right now i am looking for a job and trying to get back into college. i have a few more years to worry about stuff like that, so say and think what you will, but i feel i'm on the right track with straightening out my life.

thank you, and no, i don't feel invincible. i did see the point he was making, and i did what he suggested. after what happened yesterday, i understand how quickly this world turns, and how fast things can change. i can go at any time. in reality all of our fates are the same, so we really are not much different when you really think about it.

Rager, it sounds like you're on the right path. One thing you always need to keep in mind is that not everyone is at the same spot on The Path as you, they may seem like idiots but they are on their path, doing what it demands, even if it is the opposite of what yours demands of you. Remember to be truly kind, and you'll be all right.

Oh, and NEVER give up your search for the Truth.

If you have a problem with the youngins dont buy crap that they want... You might even have to remove any chairs tall enough to keep them off the fridge for their own saftey.
