you are young and NOT on the fringe

sorry to tell you that

why do you need so much approval at this time rager?

your other threads seem to ask for it..?

i've been working on this for a few weeks now, just finished writing it and editing it a few hours before posting it here. thought it would be a good place to share. my apologies, maven.

You are a man now not a boy, part of that means you don't have to apologize to women, you can be yourself and if they can't handle it them too bad for them, they let their inner b*tch come out too much and have to learn to control their emotions like us men do.

There is nothing wrong with being yourself if you want to be a man, it doesn't mean you abuse people or act like a dick but you just don't bow to people who expect it because they think they know more than you.

Be who you are, be a man.

Listen to other peoples opinions but take your own council.
Fear nothing, especially the opinions of women.

i get your point, but i get hers as well. though it wasn't meant as a way to get the approval of others, i just thought i'd let it be known how i felt about certain things and my point of view on those things. that's it...there are no weird ulterior motives or anything.

RE: Young and on the Fringe
the thing is, as i tried to make clear in the writing, i KNOW i have a lot more growing up to do, and i have a lot more maturing to do. i consider 2 of those to be in separate categories. i want to be a better person, both in life and on here. i don't want to grow up too fast, but i don't mind growing mentally with knowledge. i try to live my life the way i should as a 19 year old. i hang out with friends, i go out with girls, i do all that, but i also take the time to come back to the reality of the world. i am but one person in this world, along with billions of others...but i don't want to be like those other billions, i don't want to be like other 19 year olds...

i hope to have a lot of years left to think and grow more, but who knows. losing my friend has taught me that we can go at any time, for death waits for no man. i will just continue to live my life the best way i can, and try to be a good person.

and i do appreciate it maven, and i'm not trying to tear you down in any way at all either. your perspective and opinions are more than welcome in any of my threads, because most of the time they make more sense than the thread itself.

living through the pain, is how we gain strength.

what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

19 going on 70

Wink

thats what i'm thinking, why waste time on here with us old cranky crazy fogies?

tell you what rager i would trade your age for my experience in a heartbeat,

i can't imagine crawling down the rabbit hole at 19!

by the time your my age you'll probably be heavily medicated and institutionalized chuckle

You didn't grow up having the Internet you're entire life like Rager did. Quite honestly, I would "expect" it to be the norm for 19 year olds to be crawling down the rabbit hole. These kids are growing up at a completely different time than we did and have access to massive amounts of information at their fingertips.
