I'm not a huge fan of the doom threads.

But are there a lot of them this weekend, or are you just disappointed with the Olympics?

A good doom thread once in awhile can be fun. But you have to set the date pretty far ahead, then movie it.

Nah, I don't care for the Olympic doom... My beef with the Olympics is they never televise synchronized swimming... For realsies!

Couldn't work. Food is a conspiracy and unicorns aren't real, as opposed to say the illuminati, archons or big foot. Doomers seem to fall into two main camps: good intentioned but ill informed Chicken Littles, and miserable egomaniacs who want to infect everyone else with their misery and believe the only way they can end it is by taking us all with them.
