RE: babylon malware problem
we were trying to download the comfix software but it wanted us to disable our security. so Alas we have decided to go and get my nephew and ask him to remove this malware. he is a computer Geek and fixes our disasters all of the time. I just hope he is not working today. we will get it fixed eventually i am sure. lol

Rkill, will stop all malware or virus and give you the locations so you can go delete them, then run your malware and or virus to clean up. Heartflowers

With ComboFix you need to temporarily disable any anti-virus software due to conflicts. This is safe to do if the PC is not online.

With that said, you CAN run ComboFix without disabling the anti-virus software, so go ahead and try that Neesie.

the only thing he does is play games from facebook daily. he may have gotten this malware from one of the games. so my advice would be to be careful on facebook. doomed

Well, that's the problem right there. Apps on FB are infamous for containing malware. They don't really care until an app is reported a lot.

My mom loves those apps............ Her computer runs really really really slow and is riddled with problems. That's she does with it too, just FB games.

I, on the other hand, do not touch those lame clone games (seriously, they'r all the same, not very fun) and my rig runs nice and smooth.

RE: babylon malware problem
Yes, when I downloaded it I did it at the library because I got one of them shut everything down to protect its self viruses. it was shutting down every program one by one. so I pulled the plug, took a usb, got rkill, went home, booted in safe mode, installed from stick, ran it, up cam a note pad with all the locations, so I went to each one and deleted it, as it was stopped in reproducing. and after I had done all of them. I ran malware after install from stick. then I reboot in normal and Rkill is on desk top for any need to stop some thing.Cheer Fee Free when I got it, 988kb, its small.Heartflowers

Also, Combofix is a fine tool, but really should only be used if you know what you are doing. It can really mess up your system if you don't. I mean pro status too, you have to be good with computers.

most of us only know enough to damage our system. if you are not a computer Geek then you need to find one and get him to do the work. lol

brother in law caught this malicious malware from facebook. we have tried everything to get rid of it. his browser is being held hostage. anyone have any idea how to remove this thing?

No, he caught it from downloading a program and installing it (pork barrel programs)

Don't flip out, it's just aggressive ad-ware Rofl

It is alarming to him because it has messed up his routine. all he does is play his games on facebook daily. my husband does this too. they get dependent on these games and can be really stressful when they can't play. I think it should be illegal and people should be held accountable for hijacking other computer browsers.
