The drama may shift daily but the story isn't going to die until the Srjceahd or until a real solution to the sovereign debt crisis materializes.

Today it's the vote of confidence which seems certain to fail

Then what?

We had one at one point..it was epic.

The established longer threads get far more hits than new threads ever do.

I get sick of that myself just like that stupid pinned Fukeshima thread when there's new interesting news it deserves it's own thread or people don't see it since it gets lost in pages of nonsense. I don't even bother to post news about things like that then because why bother.

The EU debt crisis will only end with the EU itself (as we know it)

Would a Greek vote thread do in the meantime?

what is funny about this is that the EU can't survive on it's own, it needs welfare from other states.

The EU is to the global economy what Greece is to the EU.

Why would Britain or China keep throwing money at the EU unless they can collectively come up with a plan to balance their budgets? Which is of course impossible if they try to solve this with more debt.

Well, let's see..-REC goes to create a new thread.

It'll probably help if you request a pin by using the "report abuse" link on the new thread.

We normally repin if something new happens or if there is enough out-cry for a repin and it's current news. Can someone go to the thread and "report" asking for repin? I'll take a look.

Then they print.

And since it would be a little too transparent for the ECB to print Euros directly, the G20 will authorize the IMF to print SDRs, which will then be traded for Euros.

This will have the same inflationary effect as the ECB printing directly, except they're hoping we don't either notice or make the connection.
