I think it's also happening because Japan needs some 'less contaminated land'..
A private Island, away from their melting down reactors seems pretty important for G'mintal purposes..
Would be to me, if I knew how contaminated everything is, and it was just going to continue to get worse..and I needed to try and keep 'everything running'...need a cleaner spot to operate from ( In TPTB way of thinkin' ,ya know..)

That's what I'm thinking. Them demonstrations getting their people revved up for major war and war not only with Japan. And the fuse is not some uninhabited islands but the Middle East.

I won't cut any slack for the Japanese - especially after their monumental cock-up with the melting reactors - but on the score of these islands near Taiwan, I don't see that the Japanese have made mistakes with their handling of it... so far.

To be frank I see the best way to deal with this is by the book. ie. Warn the ships from China inside Japanese territorial waters, and if they don't shift, then it's warning shots, and if they still insist on remaining then it's shoot to sink them.

Since the officials in China and Japan sealed the agreement, japan has left the islands as they found them. There is a policy of no building there. The Japanese fish there - as does China. China strictly speaking should not fish there, but of course the Chinese will try to get away with what they can. The Chinese "fishing" boats these days are manned by men trained with weapons and the boats are armed. The Japanese coastguards have wasted countless bullets trying to keep the Chinese away.

The Chinese are wont to try to make some sort of a building on the islands - a flag or some shack - FFS!

Let the Chinese have those islands and there'll be a barracks at the least.

The Chinese are just as easy to rile-up as those bent Muslims. Dozens of places have been attacked by frenzied mobs of Chinese all orchestrated by the authorities of course.

It's funny to see how easy it is to brainwash the Chinese into caring about something that is hardly likely to register even a blip in their entire lives - but those islands have been used as an issue to make the Chinese feel their country absolutely must have the islands. It's also frightening to see how easy it is to ignite the Chinese - like those crazy Muslims.

ummmm...... taiwan is against china government, but in this issue of disputed islands, taiwan is against japan and on the side of china. taiwan is a 'friend' of usa, as japan is a 'friend' of usa. so....... how can usa take sides without steppin on some toes...jepardizing 'friendships'.......
