ive thought of that, but ill have to catch them at a school or park because my neigbhor two doors down sprays grasses all around the hood, ours was sprayed once a while ago. thats why i just buy them at the pet store. a dollar for a dozen is pretty cheap, but ill try catching some too, it sounds difficult tho

RE: eating crickets
Ever thought that maybe these insects might be carrying DDT etc. pesticides in them, that at low individual cricket level does no harm.... but may accumulate and become toxic on ingesting a large quantity by a top line predator such as man?

Simple Explanation of the terms if not understood:

That being said, if the population included insects in their diet they could get the protein needed, and less fat and health problems than when associated with animal meat.

Then you should try ants...

They inspired the chimpanzee to take up a stick, and dip it... this qualified as a tool, and very nearly makes a monkey into a man, evidently...

It's probably the super-power of the ant, that surely must be superior to protein, judging by the physical prowess of the ant.

I suggest that you cover the stick with honey, insert into ant hill, swirl lightly, and enjoy...

And then let us know if you're able to move a bus, all by yourself...

:)

...what is this which is written in the Tanakh, `'The very rock which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?

The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet... - Proverbs 27:7 FELIX INFORTUNIUM...

yeah thats why i get them at the pet store, ill ask next time where they get them. i also boil them for two minutes and bake them so that should take out some dangers. but id say if they did have any pesticides or anything that there so small eating a few dozen wouldnt be as harmful as the pesticides on a conventionally grown apple

RE: eating crickets
I prefer the mexican spicy method. Without chocolate it's just a crunchy snack, mainly street food.

Add some cayenne or something and that chocolate cricket could be great, don't forget about locust and other insects!!!
