Well...I hope your not just bullshittin or trolling, But if you're for real. I feel you and know it can be hard sometimes, regardless of how well you take care of yourself you still feel like shit. For whatever reason. Relationship, family, friends, job, whatever
I've been going through some stuff myself lately with my friends and have been feeling depressed as f*ck but I'm trying to push through it.
Thankfully I have my family and 2-3 good friends I can count on and talk too. If I didn't have that I would be truly alone
Try to take life as it comes and don't worry too much about your future or mistakes you've made in the past. Think about now, and if you feel like you aren't doing shit or you aren't happy....u can do something to change it.
Only you can improve your situation.
I am for real.
Even my old tried & true cure, shopping, is not helping. That's how I know its bad.
Usually a new purse or pair of shoes cheered me right up....Tissue
chuckle
Well thats not good.
I think you'll be able to make it through though.
If you feel like talking to a stranger you can pm me.

Thanks, buddy.

mental pharmas are some of the most sinister. some people think they are doing well on them and next thing you know they are all broken again. just awful.
i tried quite a few of them some years ago. totally toxic and weird.
Glad you realized what a destructive trap meds are. I tell you, the best healer is nature. Many people are surrounded constantly by artificial environment consisting of noisy vehicles, ugly buildings, concrete under the feet. This is not good for the heart of man. Human beings were meant to view beauty all around them. The endless beauty of trees and flowers and birds and sparkling rivers and lakes, etc. It is unhealthy for the human heart to be cut off from nature for too long.
indeed. probably why tptb are tearing up nature with a vengeance. people stuck in cities, or people stuck in a man made illness, whatever..this world is a trap.
i have to fight every morning just to get up and face the day. i feed the wild birds and have pets and that keeps me going more than anything. i was well enough to start a little flower garden this spring and that has helped.
i see the negativity of this world as the dragon and i have to fight it to the death, it's death. and fights of this caliber are bound to be terrible. and it is depressing.
Most of those called "elites" of spend time walking through beautiful gardens and acres of gently rolling grass covered hills. They know the great benefits of communing with nature. Unfortunately many of their plebians spend most if not all of their lives in an artificial, concrete cityscape that human beings were never designed to dwell in. Like fish out of water is man when he is totally removed from nature.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I wish it was as easy as cleaning up my diet. I eat as clean as possible and drink lots of water. Working out is my passion. This is why I am so scared, feeling this way when I am already taking everyones suggestions.

I.just want to feel happy again.
you must be depressed about something/s. examine it. understand it.

You are so correct. Too many things have me down.

Thanks for your suggestions.Hugs

RE: i am so depressed
I've never felt an improvement before from getting out or taking walks

Usually it worsens my depression & suffering, not makes it better. I do not understand and cannot fathom the concept of how getting out or dying activities would affect depression. It does not, no more than it would a toothache or 3rd degree burns. I feel intense dysphoria no matter what activities I engage in.

I cannot relate to this thread at all it makes no sense, and Ive never experienced what others are talking about, improvement through activities.

So what happens when you try to go out and do something that makes you feel worse?

Negative self talk? OR what?

Depends on where you take your walks. If you're walking around a grey gloomy city with a bunch of noisy traffic it's probably not going to cheer you up much. Take a walk in the country on soft hill covered with wild flowers and butterflies fluttering everywhere. You will feel better.

RE: i am so depressed
Walk in the woods with a camera sounds great. I was doing a lot of walking late last year before it got too cold. I live right near some trails that run through the forests around here in both directions. Started challenging myself to walk 5 miles out and 5 miles back, 10 miles in a day. I'd be gone for 2 or 3 hours at a time.

and fear that if I go on big pharma meds I will never come off them.Tissue

Speaking as someone who has struggled with depression since adolescence and has taken the big pharma meds, I stronly suggest you research them thoroughly before taking them.

The best book I have found on the topic is:

Anatomy of an Epidemic: Magic Bullets, Psychiatric Drugs, and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness in America

by Robert Whitaker

http://www.amazon.com/Anatomy-Epidemic-B...t_ep_dpt_1

I *wish* I had known about that book before my last round of anti-depressant (Lexapro) and anti-anxiety med (klonopin) treatment. The meds caused changes in my personality, and when I went off them, my depression and anxiety got so bad I became agoraphobic for 3 years.

You'll find the scientifically documented (w/ sources cited) evidence in the book about how these drugs actually cause brain damage and make your depression into a lifelong condition (rather than a transient state). Everything is well documented, using the pharmaceutical companies' own studies.

There are a few natural treatments that have been minimally helpful - magnesium supplements, l-tyrosine, l-theanine, and lithium orotate (not all four at once though :) So, if you're looking for a more natural route, those would be some things to google.

Overall, I think the depression is a side effect of being 'awake' in a world that is completely friggin backwards - bizarro world (as I call it). It seems like everything is exactly the opposite of the way it 'should' be. It' s hard to live in that world with eyes wide open.

The thing that has helped to bring me out of my funk is getting involved with an activity that I feel is making a positive difference toward creating the world I want to live in. For me, it's helping the elderly and getting involved in community gardening. For you, it may be something entirely different. But, I'll bet you can find something you feel you can contribute.

Don't let them make you think you're crazy because you're having trouble coping with the nature of reality in this country right now. Being awake is not easy, and there's nothing wrong with *you*.

Best wishes, and hugs to you OP. You are not alone.

The more you do that the better you'll feel. Before you know it you'll be feeling how great it is to be alive! Now, where did that depression go? Lmao
