let's say Ron Paul wins the nomination
How much would you like to bet that all of the mainstream media outlets would outright ignore the entire event, and just pretend Romney won? That seems to be the way they handle things. They wouldn't even want to mention the controversy. They would simply ignore Ron Paul's nomination and then weasel Romney into the Republican nominee on the ballot!

That's not the role controlled opposition plays. Just saying. He's not there to "win" he's there to make the "election" (namely: selection) legitimate.

Well, the New York GOP chairman either spammed or robocalled GOP voters and told them RP had dropped out.

They had lower voter turnout than Oklahoma (only 2/3)which only has 820,000 registered republicans. New York has 2.6 million.

Results for Oklahoma Republican Primary (U.S. Presidential Primary)
Mar 06, 2012 (100% of precincts reporting)
Rick Santorum 96,759 33.8%
Mitt Romney 80,291 28%
Newt Gingrich 78,686 27.5%
Ron Paul 27,572 9.6%
Other 2,990 1%

Results for New York Republican Primary (U.S. Presidential Primary)
Apr 24, 2012 (95% of precincts reporting)
Mitt Romney 103,142 63.3%
Ron Paul 24,947 15.3%
Newt Gingrich 20,720 12.7%
Other 14,181 8.7%
Source: AP

And only 95.3% of precincts have reported.

Makes you wonder if any BIG ones, say in Manhattan or one of the Burroughs, got left out of the tally.

Look at the turnout in Pennsylvania:

Results for Pennsylvania Republican Primary (U.S. Presidential Primary)
Apr 24, 2012 (99% of precincts reporting)
Mitt Romney 464,062 58%
Ron Paul 105,356 13.2%
Newt Gingrich 83,795 10.5%
Other 146,745 18.3%
Source: AP

Look at the turnout in New York in 2008

New York Republican presidential primary, 2008[94][95]
Percent reporting: 99%
Candidate Votes Percentage National delegates
America Symbol.svg John McCain 310,814 51.20% 87
Mitt Romney 168,801 27.81% 0
Mike Huckabee 65,648 10.81% 0
Ron Paul 38,918 6.41% 0
Rudy Giuliani 18,556 3.06% 0

Duncan Hunter 954 0.16% 0
Total 607,011 100% 87

Lots of monkey business this year.

But a Ron Paul upset at the convention would be too hard to suppress.

And Texas. Pushing the date back from Super Tuesday to...

still not yet?

If the Texas GOP had allowed Ron to spank the cheerleader out of Rick Perry on Super-Turdsday, it would have made a big difference.

Though they would have flipped his vote to Santorum like they did in Oklahoma.

I agree, there's not much chance of a RP upset, but it should be a FUN convention!

Jhikpghf I have posted about this before.. Moving the Texas primary back was done only to rip RP.. I am so glad I do not count on the MSM for my views (News).. If I did it would be like living in a matrix... BTW.. Let him run third party and make them cry.. BTW ..Sean hannity asked today if a Libertarian vote would only help reelect Obama..(He was speaking to john Stossell).. John told him he was voting for RP no matter what.. and to check the next primaries for a big delegate turn around...I bet hannity was seething inside...

We can thank Obama and his buddies for that. This is all the proof I need that Obama is more worried about a RP nomination than anything else.

The battle for Texas is already over. The GOP held senate district conventions before the straw poll in order to divert the Paul avalanche. Initial reports at the county level are good, though. And the state convention is wide open since the Paul camp changed TX from winner-take-all to a proportional state after '08.

I'll be honest, a massive panic will set into the nation if Ron Paul isn't nominated.

I don't know about panic, but things are sure to get ugly if austerity cuts are made without any comprehensive reform to the problem(private central banking and Wall Street treachery).

Last night NBC Nightly News reported that the "last obstacle" had been removed for Romney by Gingrich dropping out this Wednesday. I was yelling at the tv, "WHAT ABOUT RON PAUL?? HE'S STILL IN THE RACE!!"

It's like they are just going to pretend he doesn't exist.

I think they can keep it up for the time being, but what are they going to do when he rolls into the convention in Tampa with a shitload of delegates?

What then?
