Another article states: A website that supports Harrington has posted a letter from the Butte Falls Fire Department, which says the Harrington ponds are a firefighting asset. In a letter to Judge Tim Gerking, Butte Falls Fire Chief Jeff Gorman says firefighters can dip helicopter buckets and pump water from the pond to use on wildfires. He says there are no other similar water sources for miles. Gorman asks that authorities do not drain the ponds, so that they can continue to be used.

So basically, the guy built three nice-sized lakes which the fire department states are valuable for fighting fires, but the local government wants them drained? What a bunch of morons - sounds like somebody had a grudge.

He had actually been granted permits. He built the ponds. Then, they revoked the permits!!!

This is wrong on so many levels.

Most people won't give it a second thought until the government comes to their homes to install wind turbines or solar panels because the government owns their sun and wind.

It's just a bunch of nazis trying to say that it is affecting the groundwater (which there is no way of proving)...

You know what I just thought?

Obviously the governments have all responsibility of resources now. They're responsible for the shit happening to it. Messing with our finite resources*. Ha.

*yes, water is technically not finite as a resource but you get what i mean.
