deal one from the memory banks, greatest shootout ever
this is a pretty good documentary about north hollywood,
these guys are about the most dedicated robbers in history

i have said it before if we had a few thousand men that were this dedicated to restoring the republic as these two were for money, our problems would begin to come to an end,

no matter how you feel about them, these guys were all in, no compromise all or nothing,

qualities that are sorely lacking in american men these days

in a dark way you have to admire their commitment, even if their actions were completely misdirected

Notorious 1930s American criminal Willie Sutton, who stole over 2 million
dollars during his 40 year career, when asked why he robbed banks:

"Because that's where the money is."

If you're gonna play the game you have go full in, otherwise there is no point.
I've always had an odd respect for those who operate outside the law.
Call me crazy.

exactly, as cooter alluded to the depression era bank robbers were folk heroes

we have a gang of returning vets with combat experience in the last 10 years,
you would think that at least a portion of them would be awake enough to know how they have been used and want to do something about it like the bonus marchers after ww1
but they don't
they try to settle back into the american lifestyle and fight depression and ptsd, and the veterans administration drugs them up

its sad really
i was never in the military but the patriotic brainwashing must be unbelievable

As a military vet I can say you are absolutely correct about a large population with a skill set and a grudge. The most common theme I get from my military buddies and ex-military buddies is one of patient waiting. It seems no one wants to be the instigator, but will all join in and do what they can given their training when the time is right.

I blame the whole passive resistance preaching.

one thing that they left out is that before swat arrived the regular LA pd raided a nearby gun store for some fal's ak's and ar15's

all of which were made illegal in california in large part because of the extraordinary media coverage of this event

like stalin said 'never let a crisis go to waste"

Romanticizing outlaws is one of the most endearing of human traits

It all started with Robin Hood, carried on through the Confederacy,
then the Old West, then the Gangsters of the 30s who stole from
the rich because of the Bankster crash of '29 and the Depression ...
because all war/struggle is class war.

All the 99 percenters love outlaws.

It's just the 1 percent Robber Barons who do not ... which is why
Ayn Rand villainized Robin Hood in her Romney-esque elitist treatise,
"Atlas Shrugged" and suckered everyone into thinking it was an ode
to the common man a la John Galt. Boulderdash. Dagney Taggart,
Hank Reardon, and Francisco d'Anconia were all wealthy elites.
So that dog won't hunt. chuckle End Rant.

yup because no matter the intention the government owns the media and will demonize anybody who resists,
even if it was for the good of the people to save them from enslavement they have been propagandized so well that they will call for the heads of their liberators,

nobody wants to be that first guy, i understand that mentality, most people just want to lay low off the radar and try and enjoy what passes for freedom these days
