I agree with you. but lucas is hooked to so many tubes and instruments it just isnt prudent to jostle him around. it would probably cause his swollen skin too much pain anyway. she has been rubbing him and touching him, so at least he knows she is there and she cares. thank you though.

People like me? I have one of the biggest hearts that you could ever imagine. Every time I read this thread I cry my eyes out. I see this and am so thankful I never had to deal with this, yet at the same time I don't understand why anyone should have to deal with it.

he has a ruptured nose because he keeps swelling up with fluid. it is giving him nosebleeds. they had let the parents hold him yesterday but now it would be too painful for him. the doctor wants to take him off of the respirator because they cannot figure out what has him infected. and my nephew wants to wait for a culture to come back so that they know how to treat little lucas.
