RE: question for tea partiers?
*shrug*
I am still in the Tea Party. We are a bit different here, though. We discuss UN takeovers of the waters, Agenda 21, the smart boxes, and the infiltration of the republican party by usurpers. Our Tea Party group does not endorse dems or republicans...we feel they all sold out.
I know not all tea party groups are like that, though, and I ignore those factions that align themselves with the republican platform.
Some of us are okay.

But we can move it to something else if you like.
How about a presidential assassination czar?
How about a new WPA? Why don't we have one, we're in a depression?
What about the manned space program?
Or you could tell me what the democratic party did with it's supermajority.
Maybe.
You want to believe he's a good man and he will stop beating you one day.

the people you see are the elected administrators they are not the final say and not controlling entity.
but they have some leeway that they can exercise based on their priorities.
What do you think their priorities are?
Do you think if we gave Obama a second term, and put a democrat majority back in the house, and a 60-40 senate majority that your party would finally do what you want it to do?
I don't think so.
Because in 2009 they could have eliminated the filibuster rule, or castrated it with a simple majority vote at the start of the session.
I don't think they'd do what you want them to do if every member of the house and senate and the president was a democrat.

you need to understand the sandbox they are aloud to play in.
once you have done that , you will be able to accurately distinguish their actions.

RE: question for tea partiers?
Maybe you're typing a reply right now, I'll assume you are, and let you off the hook just a little bit.
I'm a RINO Paultard.
I registered republican in 2000 because I wanted to nip W in the bud, and I was a McCain delegate to the King County republican convention(Seattle/ Bellevue).
I didn't realize what a wingnut McCain was at the time, and I wasn't wanting to waste my primary vote in a Bradley/Gore battle(though I probably should have, Gore was a ringer-threw it on purpose)
But after I watched what democrats did to Ralph Nader, I was so disgusted I decided to stay republican and try to reform it from within.
Triage the worst damage.
And lots of Paultards/ Tea Partiers had the same idea. Most of us aren't GOP toadies. We're a Motley mixture.
But that didn't work.
We failed. We have some successes, and kudos to Heidi. I helped defeat John Sullivan in his primary and the new guy Breitenstein is a Ron Paulish kind of guy.
But we didn't fix the republican party. I wanted to force it back to Eisenhower type sanity.
Why hasn't anybody done that to the democratic party?
Fixing the republican party isn't gonna accomplish ANYTHING if democrats refuse to be democrats.
And that's why I give you guys so much grief.
Dump Pelosi. Start there.
I may join you soon.
I'm getting weary of being a RINO.
There's only so much I can do. When I discuss the policies I really want to implement the reaction from republicans is rightfully "those aren't republican policies."
So it might be more fun harassing democrats at democrat party events. It sure is fun here.
Why are you guys supporting that? That's not a democrat policy! I'm gonna re-register democrat and start giving you guys Hell in person.

the cabal, the minions, TPTB

That was disappointing.

Why do you think Paultards and Teatards are more hypocritical than you?
The cabal won't let them do anything either.

Paultards are looking to make changes that are not going to happen.
the things that are there to work with are minimal, yes.
but you have to play the cards your dealt.
youve got a household with a budget
at that point, it gets down to what you do with that budget.
and what kind of family you want to raise.
youre not going to change the system, sorry
it existed long before you and will extend long after

How come the democratic party didn't suck ass before RFK died?
Sorry, but that's a boatload of FAIL.
You can't change anything because you're COWARDS.
Nancy Pelosi should be Heckled everywhere she goes.
By DEMOCRATS.
You won't do it.
You can't yell with her schlong in your mouth.

That might have been a little over the top.
You sound like my uncle though. Long time democratic party donor, Sierra Club bigwig.
Sometime in late 2009, when I was giving him shit about the Obama administration, he said
"I don't bother with National politics anymore. I just do what I can locally."
He had given up. He had a Kennedy stay at his house once, but now he's given up. That's pretty pathetic, and sad.
I know it's futile. But I can be a lot of fun trying anyway.
