RE: so I found this in my daughters front yard
New buddy comes over with a box full of baby bunnies. Wants to know if I want them. Said no as I'm a bit busy to bottle feed three bunnies as they bushhoged the mom up. Suggested he use them for bait. Likes to catfish. I'd never eat one but they are good sport. Poor little bunnies.Tissue

I would have raised it up, then made a snack when big enough. Not trying to be mean, but thats food to me.

Yeah, but:

2) we aren't all creepy hillbilly uncle-fuckers

I found this baby squirrel in my daughters front yard
it's mother was creamed by a car , he was curled on the ground at the base of the tree near death

has took to bottle well , eye's opened the other day , now little fella is all over

this lady intently watches over and protects him

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQDeEPPo3...e=youtu.be

enjoy a bit of nice with your daily doom...

forgot to mention we have noticed squirrels front 5th digits [equal to our thumbs] are missing little sore's are there :-(
which tell me little fella got hungry cause mom didn't come home , crawled out the nest , slipped , and hung on by his 2 digits till they pulled off and he fell
all before his eye's were open
pretty traumatic childhood.....
once I realized this...I smiled....the act of saving him is much more special...

he deserved a second chance.....

Awesome. Heartflowers

RE: so I found this in my daughters front yard
My grandma saved a squirrel raised it. It became her pet - it was the cutest thing. She taught it to crawl up and sit on her shoulder. But one day
it got out and tried to crawl up a stranger & they freaked and killed it.
All it was doing was just trying to play and be friendly. That was so sad, poor little thing - I loved that little squirrel. It really did make a great little pet.

bout a week he goes bout 7 miles to forest glen county nature preserve
no hunting allowed , plenty of picnicker's and keg party's to weasel munchies from+ its a few hundred acres of hard wood forest...so natural grindage abounds , thats why next week can fend for self and don't want him to human trusting....and really he's not he'll come sniff new folks but runs when not one of about 7 people
and he is very fast...

yeah I find it the more loving and human thing to do also
considering the way most humans treat all other life
its only fitting we return a few to the fishes , and as bait for those larger predatory animals
a staked out injured screaming human draws in grizzly's real well
can't afford flight to Africa to test with lions and such
but bet it would work really well there a night kinda like coon huntin here..chuckle
