I have had many pets, both cats and dogs.

I think our Springer Spaniel was the dearest one, for some reason she touched places in my heart that have never been reached before. i love all my cats and dogs, but she was special

any similar stories?

I had a pure white cat named snowball that would follow me anywhere and always slept on my leg every night.

I was lost in the wilderness at one point in my life and became friends with a grizzly bear. It walked up on me while I was cooking some fish. Luckily I had some spare fish and I threw the bear one and then another and then another until I ran out. We had a close bond after that. He used to show me where all the good fishing spots were. One day while fishing, the bear saved me from being mauled by another bear. I will never forget that. The one thing I would like to forget is the day when him and I walked over the ridge only to run into some hunters. All I can say is that I couldn't return the favor that it did for me back at the fishing spot.

Our dog Boo. We lost him last March, had to be put down due to his injuries. Our extended family loved him as much as we did, first dog to reach that far (we have a big family).

it was one of the hardest things I personally have had to endure, me being at fault for all of it happening. It still bugs me to this day. My new pug, Chewy, helps. He has a lot of similar mannerisms to Boo, but Boo can't be replaced.

for as much as she irritates me when she claws me and wakes me up at 5am my current kitty Belle! I have never had a pet that I loved like her! She is such an affectionate cat and doesnt like me not being in the room with her! She runs past the husband to get to me when we have been out!

the way they will sit in the dirt, in the cold, anywhere just to be with us...

such sad and happy emotions inside of me... surely animals cross the barrier of the afterworld, to run and play after death, I mean, let's face it, who could deserve it more?
