Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Tillerson with the Order of Friendship.

It's a great year for kleptocratic regimes, oligarchies, plutocracies and autocratic hell holes.

I had a friend who works at the test site (Area 51) tell me that the stuff they are currently working on will not be seen by the public for twenty years...

Makes you wonder why we got so little bang for our buck in Iraq. Whats the point in have advanced technology if we don't use it to keep troop losses down. 4000 + service people got killed over there.

RE: Department of Defense Announces Successful Micro-Drone Demonstration
I have built small drones that fit in the palm of my hands .. but they aren't very autonomous .. yet. And flight time is limited .. but they are relatively cheap to make and thus could be considered disposable. They could become autonomous if more powerful miniature electronics were available at a cheaper price. You need a reliable wireless communications network between your drones if they are to operate in a swam too. And power .. current battery technology is still very limited. But there are other technologies that could be used to keep them aloft a lot longer. I'm waiting for someone to come out with a miniature nuclear reactor that I can strap to a drone.
