Agreed, making peace with old concerns is my best guess.

People are least happy in their 40s and early 50s.

Here's the age you peak at everything throughout life.

Life doesn't come with a road map. But that hasn't stopped scientists from wanting to build one.

A range of studies examine how our physical and mental traits, ranging from attractiveness to smarts, change as people rack up birthdays.

http://www.businessinsider.com/science-w...-is-2016-7

Age/trait

Age 7 Learning a new Language

Age 10 Staying Alive
Age 12 Growth Girls
Age 14 Growth Boys
Age 18 Brain processing power

Age 22 Remembering Names
Age 23 Life Satisfaction
Age 25 Muscle strength
Age 28 Running a marathon

Age 30 Bone Mass
Age 31 Playing Chess
Age 32 Remembering Faces
Age 39 Salary Women

Age 40 Nobel Prize discovery
Age 48 Salary Men

Age 50 Arithmetic Skills
Age 51 Understanding others emotions

Age 69 Vocabulary

Age 74 Happiness with your body

Age 82 Psychological well being

Heard this being discussed on the radio and found it interesting.

Well, I've achieved peak bone mass and still have 6 months to go before beating my best friend at chess. Life is good! Heartflowers

I find studies like this hilarous.

Who does them, and where do they fit on the scale?

You don't understand yet, because wisdom comes with age.

Wisdom really does come with age: Older people's knowledge and experience means they make better decisions

I just turned 61.

The point is, nobody knows until they get there. Better to look at life with bumor, than anything else, as you age.

A group of Scientist in their 20s or 30s cannot, and are incapable of categorizing these kinds of things. I do have the wisdom to know any of it.

You may find this intriguing, this was a year and a half ago.

The “baby boomer” and “echo boomer” generations formed two peaks in the age distribution of active psychologists. In 2013, the age distribution of active psychologists peaked at ages 56 to 65, which falls within the baby boomer generation age range (those born in the period 1946 to 1964). Additionally, the age distribution peaked at ages 31 to 35, capturing part of the echo boomer generation age range (those born in the period 1976 to 2001).

Dammit, I missed that milestone in life.
Tissue

I'm do...

It's now or never.

Go for it! You don't want to end up a loser like me who didn't even get his Nobel prize when he was 40. That's like not losing your virginity at ... whenever that's supposed to happen, the chart didn't say. Strangely enough.

Peak bone mass isn't much to brag about really, but I guess we'll let you young'uns have your little triumphs...

By the way, isn't it kind of funny we get Nobel Prizes 11 years before we figure out how to understand people's emotions?

People are complicated.

Happiness with your body at 74? WTF? Lmao I call B.S. There's even more funny stuff in there.

Well maybe you reach a stage of peace at 74?

Lose the vanity or insecurity?

That's what I was thinking upon reading that one. It's like at that point you totally accept who and what you are, finally?

Yes, it certainly is. It doesn't say much for winning the prize, IMO.

People are complicated.

To me the understanding of others emotions at 51 was the most interesting.

I guess we could be complicated considering the Nobel work peak is 40.

Or perhaps we carry a lot of things that interfere with taking good looks at others before that age.

Also about the bottom of the unhappiness scale is at the same time.

Sounds good to me.

I wonder if cosmetics/anti aging things can be seen in decline at a similar time?
