RE: BI-LOW 1 gallon water smells like it's tap water
technically it shouldn't say its spring water but, for example,

Aquafina to say it comes from same source as tap water

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/aquafina-...id=3428260

Date: 2007

The label on Aquafina water bottles will soon be changed to spell out that the drink comes from the same source as tap water, the brand's owner PepsiCo said Friday.

A group called Corporate Accountability International has been pressuring bottled water sellers to curb what it calls misleading marketing practices.

Aquafina is the single biggest bottled water brand, and its bottles are now labeled "P.W.S." The new labels will spell out "public water source."

"If this helps clarify the fact that the water originates from public sources, then it's a reasonable thing to do," PepsiCo pep spokeswoman Michelle Naughton said Friday.

The corporate accountability group is also pressing for similar concessions from Coca-Cola ko, which owns the Dasani water brand.

Dasani's website says that Dasani comes from local water supplies and is then filtered.

"We don't believe that consumers are confused about the source of Dasani water," Coca-Cola spokeswoman Diana Garza Ciarlante said. "The label clearly states that it is purified water."

if its tapwater it's supposed to say "purified water" or some such.
"spring water" is supposed to come from an actual spring.

but as you may have noticed, not everyone follows all of the rules all of the time. cough.

the plastic leaching into the water from the container is another bad thing / issue.

bottled water. it's a shady business in general.

the whole nestle owning all of the water in certain places comes to mind as well.

Where the f*#k did you think tap water comes from? Where the f*#k do you think bottled water comes from?

One or both of the answers to these two questions are wrong in your head.

I didn't read the comments, probably didn't read the OP either.

RE: BI-LOW 1 gallon water smells like it's tap water
also this is a good article on bottled water.

https://www.banthebottle.net/articles/7-...hs-busted/

again, for example,

"Rather than deriving its water from natural springs, Coca-Cola had actually been filling its Dasani bottles with purified tap water."

"In taste test after taste test, people can’t tell the difference between bottled water and tap water."

also, not for nothing, but New York City, USA is one of if not the best city waters available "tap water" in the entire earth of cities.

(scientific studies)

"In an interesting study conducted by Showtime television, the hosts found that 75% of tested New York City residents actually preferred tap water over bottled water in a blind taste test."

yeah, that sounds like a bad batch.

i've had water taste like plastic before, and then when i looked on the bottle it was like 3 years old. apparently it goes bad after a while from the plastic leaching into the water. i could taste it right away.

and i have bought bottled water that smelled like you describe.
(that's why i was buying bottled water to begin with, since i didn't have NYC quality water...)

a lot of the times the sewer over flows into the fresh water supplies.

and then the water "get's that smell to it".

disgusting.

but, that is what i have noticed that does it Hiding

it's like really bad when its one of those places "that you can not drink the tap water"

and then they use the poisonous water to fill "bottled water"

it's not good to live in a place where you can not drink the tap water.
