I had to move it because it was in the way of where I wanted a door to the basement. So I did.

I had the bulkhead built and today I cut the hole in the floor, put the duct down, insulated it and then drywalled it in. Another thing off the list!

It's vinyl plank flooring. And yeah, that's my jigsaw case. I had to buy a new one because I think I broke off a blade in m old one when I was cutting out around a floor vent and when I went to cut the countertops it was messing up and the blade kept falling out. A new jigsaw was cheaper than ordering a new island if I screwed up

There's a million things to choose from, but I think I need to start on the living room flooring so that I can get my big 7' closet built. I NEED that storage!

It's a big long room. 23 ft. I'm going to make an entry/foyer by the front door and divide the living room from that with a 1/2 wall. The closet will be in the foyer.

i remember our foyer was beside the diningroom/kitchen
it was a big long room, like that
and it had a pocket door.
off its track and impossible to get at , of course lol
but O suggested why dont we just take it out alroghter, a fair sized doorway then, and then just frame it w/ oak .. so they did that.

it really made it look great. we did some amazing work in that house.
its a nice place now, thanks to O lol

That's like one of the bedrooms down here. It would have been the original living room before all the additions and when they turned it in to a duplex. I can tell there is a big wide opening that they made smaller for the bedroom door.

Diane suggested I take it back to the original opening since that room is only going to be my office/craft room. I dunno. You think I should?

yeah.

spacious looking is always more fresher feeling..
more open would be better for feng shui kinda energy too i bet
would make it all flow nicer i think.

I dunno yet, we'll see. I originally thought nah, bc a 2 bedroom unit is better and if I open that door back up it makes it a 1 bdrm on the main floor which isn't good for selling.

But who am I kidding? No way am I selling and moving in this market. I'll never find a better place for what I paid here 10 yrs ago. The market is nuts! Teeny little houses with less square footage than this main floor going for 200K here!

I'm staying here til I'm dead. So what the hell. I might open it up.
