I've never heard of them. It must be tri-state only.
Me neither. I figure most of these places are created from laundered drug money or people's 401k funds

No way those stupid giant stores and shopping plazas can be profitable except for the construction builders renting them out

Women can't afford dresses after paying $695 for a Kardashian trashcan for the guest bathroom

I wear dresses but I've never shopped at Dress Barn

I think these giant box stores that are fundamentally flawed from the outset were around before trump got elected

They destroy innovation and private enterprise and that's where great things like etsy and amazon level the playing field. Mom and pop don't need a giant expensive store

Are they ?

There are 2 in the town I live in....both were built before I was born(55yr now)...one has 6 stores and the other has 10-11 stores....both are fully occupied and always have been ....the reason, the guy who owns them told me that it's way better to have full occupancy at lower than market rates that to have empty buildings sitting there making NO Money.

Good question

are the stores actually profitable? or is it just a rouse, a ponzi scheme, to raise billions in the credit markets claiming the money is needed for growth

Several schemes....

Overvaluing assets to garner inflated loans

Investments from Foreigners(China) who don't care if it's rented or not

Money Laundering

So what about Walmart and all the subsidies and tax breaks municipal governments give them to open their stores while taxing the crap out of all the other stores, downtown, in strip malls, and traditional malls? Walmart has a long history in its retail apocalypse role then given credit for lately. Maybe along with Amazon we need to look at Walmart also.

For what ?...using their business model to sway Town/City/County councils to grant the tax "breaks"

Seems you're wanting to hang the wrong folks here....
